Summary: His life turned around the moment he met Yunho.
“God, I’m so glad you moved in,” Yunho murmured as he clung tighter to Jaejoong and buried his face into the crook of the other man’s neck.
Jaejoong hummed happily and turned around, a bright smile on his face, “You do know we have to get out of bed soon, right?”
“How soon?” Yunho muttered, “I don’t even have to go to work until ten, and you’ve already unpacked all your things - “
“School.”
Yunho paused, “What? Both of us are too old to be going to school -“
“We’re picking up Horan and Eunyoung today,” Jaejoong pressed, “You promised to drive because even though I have my license back you still don’t -“
“Fine.”
Jaejoong laughed and kissed Yunho’s forehead before he got out of bed, “I’ll make you a nice breakfast, so get out of the bed and shower already.”
“Yes mom.”
“You do know that if you call me mom, that would probably mean you harbor some sick sort of Oedipus complex -“
Yunho groaned and rolled away in order to get off the bed, “I’m heading to the bathroom now.”
Jaejoong laughed, “Good boy.”
o-o-o
“So, this is how it’s going to be?”
Horan giggled and pulled at her braids playfully before she tugged at her sister’s hand and edged away from Jaejoong and closer to the closet.
Jaejoong huffed, “Come on, or else you to are going to be late!”
“I don’t wanna go to school!”
“But you look so pretty!” Jaejoong argued as he picked up the girls’ bags and slung them over his shoulder. “Come on, or else Yunho’s going to be late for work.”
The two girls perked up at the mention of Yunho’s name, “Yunho’s driving?”
Jaejoong frowned, “Yeah, why? He’s outside right now.”
Before he could even finish his sentence, the two girls quickly bolted past him and ran out the door in a rush. Jaejoong left the room and shouted down the stairs at the disappearing figures, “Why the sudden change of mind?”
As soon as Horan finished putting on her shoes, she turned and replied, “We need to show Uncle Yunho we’re good girls!”
“We don’t want him to be late for work,” Eunyoung added shyly before she turned around and followed her twin out of the house.
Jaejoong grumbled and shouted as he stumbled after the girls, bags in tow, “If Yunho was really so great, he’d be helping me out right now!” Just as Jaejoong took a step, he accidentally let go of the bags, and he watched as they tumbled down the stairs. He groaned and shuffled down the steps to pick them up.
“Stupid Yunho and his stupid charm,” he muttered, “Next time, I’m driving.”

Jaejoong noticed the young woman immediately, and he walked over to her with a bright smile on his face, “Does your son study here?”
The woman turned her head, “Oh no, I’m here to pick up my neighbor’s daughter as a favor to her mother.”
“Oh I see,” Jaejoong said as he sat down next to her and fiddled with his hands idly, “I’m sorry for thinking you were older than you actually are.”
Yoonhee laughed, “It’s no big deal, at least I can be comforted by the fact that the most handsome man is here talking to me.”
Jaejoong blushed, “You’re embarrassing me.”
The two of them talked as they waited for their charges to get dismissed, and as soon as the kids came out, the loud noises were enough to stop their conversation momentarily. Eunyoung, Horan, and another girl made their way through the swarm of children and bounded up to them with identical grins on their faces.
“Uncle Joongie, Chaerin has to get her clips back, and I left them behind at your apartment a couple of days ago,” Horan explained, “Can we bring her?”
“Uhm,” Jaejoong glanced at Yoonhee, “Do you mind the detour? I’ll be glad to drop you guys off wherever you live, or if you’d like -“
Yoonhee chuckled, “We’ll follow your car. I brought my own.”
“Okay, seeing as everything’s settled -“
“Can we go for ice cream after?” Horan piped in, making Jaejoong narrow his eyes and tickled him to the point of embarrassment. He was completely surprised by the efficiency of the people helping him get dressed, and just as he was about to relax, Charin popped in the conversation.
He narrowed his eyes, “You planned this all, didn’t you?”
“We all did!” Chaerin giggled.
Jaejoong sighed and glanced at Yoonhee, when he saw no sight of any signs of protest, he sighed and paused once more, “Since I’m a gentleman, I’ll pay for you all, but please, be kind to my wallet.”
“No promises!” The girls squealed excitedly before they ran in the direction of the nearby parking lot and left both Jaejoong and Yoonhee behind.

“Oh shoot, I think I left my purse at your apartment,” Yoonhee said after she’d checked her bag the moment she’d gotten out of the lobby.
Jaejoong glanced at the girls, who were happily playing in the park a couple of meters away, before he replied, “We can go back, I’ll just ask the girls to stay with a friend of mine before we go back up.”
He ran to the girls and led them over to one of his neighbors before he ran back to Yoonhee and led her back to his shared apartment. As soon as the unlocked the door frame, Yoonhee went inside to look for her purse while Jaejoong waited patiently by the doorframe.
“What are you doing there?”
Jaejoong looked up and grinned, “What are you doing home so early?”
“I thought that you might want to go out for dinner,” Yunho replied as he placed his briefcase down and walked over to Jaejoong to embrace him. Jaejoong raised an eyebrow, and just as Yunho was only a few inches away, he suddenly froze. Jaejoong frowned in confusion and turned his head to look in the same direction Yunho’s eyes were focused on.
He glanced between Yoonhee and Yunho, wondering why they were staring at each other in such a foreign way.
“Do you two -“
“What are you doing here?” Yunho yelled, as he stepped further inside the room to approach the woman, “How dare you!” He turned around and glared at Jaejoong, “I told you to leave things alone Jaejoong!”
“What the fuck are you talking about? Yunho, I don’t get you right now-“
Yunho turned his head and pointed at Yoonhee, “Why the fuck did you bring my sister here?”
