glossary:
danna - patron
* after some research, nothing said anything about male geishas having dannas, so that explains why Jaejoong doesn’t have one. The typical male geisha usually told stories at events or assisted in performances by playing instruments.
shamisen - three stringed instrument, looks a bit like a guitar
okiya - a geisha boarding house, a residence for geisha
ekubu - basically a desert that was rather suggestive in nature, and signaled that the bidding for a geisha’s mizuage was open
mizuage - ceremony for an apprentice to become a fully fledged geisha, and before it was outlawed due to it being similar to prostitution, it sometimes involved the apprentice losing her virginity to a person close to the okiya, or the highest bidder
maiko - apprentice geisha

“Everyone here is inebriated,” Jaejoong murmured softly as he poured water for Yunho. He watched as several men stumbled around the room, and he hid his chuckle behind his hand as one of them fell.
Yunho’s arm wrapped around his waist and pulled him closer, “It’s rude to laugh.”
Jaejoong glanced at his face then down at his arm, “You shouldn’t be doing that, we’re in public,” he whispered although he didn’t move away, “It’s not right, and I don’t think you even like it here that much.”
“It’s a party for a client of mine, and don’t you like it much better here than in the last place we were at? It was quite -“
Jaejoong chuckled and placed his index finger over Yunho’s lips, shushing him effectively, “Yunho, you just didn’t like it at the last party because that drunk Kabuki actor asked me to take off my clothes and prove I was a man.”
Yunho pulled Jaejoong’s hand away and held it. He played with Jaejoong’s fingers and looked up at him, “He was rude, and I only should get to see you naked.”
“Of course,” Jaejoong murmured, placating Yunho like he was a young child. He chuckled softly, and he raised his eyes to meet Yunho’s, “Sometimes, I feel like you are still a child when you act like this.”
“Act like what?” Yunho questioned curiously, “I was just defending your honor.”
“You almost punched him,” Jaejoog replied as he inched closer to Yunho. “That would not have looked good for you. I feel like you are a child sometimes because you can be so clingy.”
Yunho ignored Jaejoong’s noise of protest, and he set his head down onto Jaejoong’s shoulder. He looked up at him, “I don’t like being abandoned or left behind.” He held onto Jaejoong’s hand a little tighter, “You scared me…that night when you wanted me to leave you.”
Silence fell between the two of them, and the sounds of the drunken men laughing in the distance could not be heard as Jaejoong waited for Yunho to speak. His heart pounded in his chest, and he did not saying anything because he knew that Yunho wanted to say more to him.
“Don’t try to leave me again.”
Yunho spoke with such unusual need and desperation that Jaejoong found himself so moved by the few spoken words. They conveyed the words that Yunho could not say in public - how much he loved him and how much he needed him, but they were more than enough for Jaejoong. He tore his eyes away from Yunho for one moment to see if anyone was watching them, and when he was sure that no one was, he pressed a soft kiss to Yunho’s head.
He squeezed Yunho’s hand tightly and murmured, “Never again.”
o-o-o
“You shouldn’t be coming in,” Jaejoong protested weakly as he and Yunho stumbled through the front door of his apartment.
Just as he was about to take off his shoes, he felt Yunho’s arms wrap around his waist, and he broke out into an embarrassing peal of high pitched shrieks as Yunho squeezed onto him tightly and lifted him off the ground.
“Stop it!” Jaejoong hissed as he slapped Yunho’s arm and made him set him back onto the ground. He took off his shoes, and as soon as Yunho had taken off his own pair, Jaejoong was pressed against the wall.
He could taste the sake on Yunho’s tongue, and Jaejoong sagged against Yunho as the other man ran his hands across his body. They were quite drunk, and Jaejoong just couldn’t get Yunho to leave him alone.
“I want to make love to you right here,” Yunho hissed as he began to untie Jaejoong’s obi while keeping him pinned against the wall, “Right near the door.”
Jaejoong had discovered throughout the night that Yunho was a very horny drunk. He kept taking Jaejoong out of every room they’d been in to ravish him in empty corridors, and Jaejoong didn’t think that there was a single dark spot in Gion that they had not fooled around in that day.
He had never protested of course because not only did he very much enjoy Yunho’s behavior but as soon as Yunho began to whisper a mixture of lovely and dirty things into his ear, he became putty in Yunho’s strong hands.
“You’re so beautiful,” Yunho murmured as he left a trail of kisses down the column of Jaejoong’s neck, “I love you so much.”
Jaejoong chuckled softly, “You’re just drunk -“
Yunho pulled away from Jaejoong and cupped his face. He stared into Jaejoong’s eyes intensely in the darkness and brushed his cheeks gently with his thumbs, “No, I love you even when I’m not drunk, and I love you when I am drunk too.”
Jaejoong felt his breath catch in his throat, and Yunho’s breath ghosted against his face due to their closeness, “You’re scared and that’s okay,” Yunho murmured, “Do you know what I love about you?”
“In the Kabuki theater, you told me that you loved my smile,” Jaejoong breathed out as Yunho pulled his kimono open to reveal his bare skin and undergarments. His breath hitched as Yunho’s hands danced along the naked sin, “In the Misono teahouse, you told me you loved my laugh.”
Jaejoong stifled a moan as Yunho’s hand slipped underneath fabric and wrapped around his aching member. He clung hard to Yunho and buried his face into the taller man’s shoulder.
“I love the way you love Chiharu, how you protect her, how you care for her, and how you guard her,” Yunho breathed as he stroked Jaejoong slowly, “I love how you’ve become her brother and protector even though you didn’t have to. Tell me Jaejoong, would any other person do that?”
Jaejoong bit his lip and tried to choke out a yes before he could do that, Yunho sped up his strokes and made Jaejoong moan instead. It was torturous, and he didn’t know how Yunho could still think properly when he was whimpering and mewling right in front of him.
“No, no other person could,” Yunho spoke as he pressed kisses all over Jaejoong’s expressive face, “Do you know what kind of life I lived before I met you?”
Jaejoong whimpered as Yunho’s strokes quickened, and he let out a shaky breath. He was so close to coming, but it seemed like Yunho was enjoying prolonging the agony for him. He pushed his lower body close to Yunho, and Jaejoong lifted his eyes to meet Yunho’s dark ones. After a few more minutes of torment, Jaejoong came and sagged against Yunho.
His heavy breaths prevented silence from falling, and Yunho set his hands on Jaejoong so that he would not fall off balance.
“Without you in my life, I lived for work, and I briefly entertained the idea of marrying a woman just so that I wouldn’t feel so lonely anymore,” Yunho murmured and he met Jaejoong’s gaze, “Then I saw you, in the teahouse that night. I saw you, and my heart leapt in my chest.”
“You’re lying,” Jaejoong breathed out tiredly, and Yunho’s eyes widened in surprise as soon as he heard Jaejoong speak.
Yunho chuckled and kissed Jaejoong languidly for a few seconds before he pulled away and replied, “I promise you, it’s true. You were so lost in that crowded room, and I selfishly wanted to be the one to make you smile again.”
They were silent for a moment, and Yunho let his words sink in. He smoothened back Jaejoong’s sweat damp hair before he spoke, “Aside from my parents, you are the first person to have ever made me truly feel, and you are the first person to have ever truly loved me. Whenever you look at me, I feel like I am truly the center of your world, and I feel overjoyed to know that you are trying your best for me.”
Yunho smiled tenderly at Jaejoong, “You are my lover, not because of your looks, but because of who you are. I cannot look at anyone else the same way I look at you. I would not replace you for any man or woman, and if I could, I would make you mine officially.”
“There is little point in marriage when you have already taken what should’ve been saved for the marriage night,” Jaejoong joked softly as he kissed Yunho’s collarbone and slowly made work of slipping off his jacket.
“Would you not rather think that we are already married then, seeing as we have consummated our union so many times?”
Jaejoong looked up at Yunho, “I cannot marry you -“
“I would make a very good husband, don’t protest,” Yunho murmured as he wrapped his arms around Jaejoong and carried him bridal style. He smiled at Jaejoong as he walked up the stairs, “Come now, my husband, it is our wedding night.”
“You foolish man,” Jaejoong said affectionately as he wrapped his arms around Yunho’s neck and pulled him close, “I can hardly believe the words that come out of that mouth of yours. You never speak sense.”
Yunho laughed and set Jaejoong down onto the mat. He brushed back Jaejoong’s hair and smiled down at him in the darkness as he set his body over Jaejoong’s smaller frame, “What are you going to do about it?”
“This,” Jaejoong replied before he raised his lips and effectively shut up Yunho with a searing kiss.
o-o-o
There was someone calling his name, and Jaejoong couldn’t bring himself to move. He buried his face closer to Yunho’s naked chest and brought the man closer in an attempt to ignore the sound.
Unfortunately, it just got louder.
Jaejoong turned around with a groan, and as soon as he saw Chiharu at the doorway, he quickly pulled the covers up higher in order to cover up their naked bodies from her young, innocent eyes. Yunho groaned and rolled away drowsily, and Jaejoong moved to cover up his naked body better.
“What?” Jaejoong croaked, his throat dry and aching. He swallowed and licked his lips in attempt to make talking easier, “Is there something wrong?”
“Mother is coming!”
Jaejoong’s eyes widened, “What?”
“I went to the okiya to get your breakfast, and I heard the maids. She’s coming here to talk to you about Reina’s mizuage,” Chiharu answered hurriedly. She glanced at Yunho’s sleeping form, “You have to hide him.”
“Hide him?” Jaejoong glanced back at Yunho, “Where?”
“Put him in the closet!”
Yunho groaned and sat up. He squinted at Chiharu, “Little girl, you know I love you, but must you be so loud, and why am I going into the closet?”
“Mother is coming,” Jaejoong said as he reached over and tossed Yunho’s shirt at him. Chiharu handed him the rest of Yunho’s clothes, and he placed them down onto the tired businessman’s lap, “You have to hide, or she’ll get mad.”
Yunho sighed and lied back down. He pulled the covers back up and shut his eyes irritably, “Mad about what? I’m paying every single stupid fee that she asks me to pay. If I want to spend time with you, I should be able to spend as much time as I want with you. If I had it my way, you’d be living with me and -“
Jaejoong rolled his eyes, “Would you please leave the room for a second?”
Chiharu nodded, and as soon as the door shut, Jaejoong pulled the covers off of Yunho and slid the closet door open. He wrapped the covers around his waist to cover his naked body and set his hands on his waist, “Get inside.”
Yunho groaned and sat up, “You can’t be serious. What is that old hag going to get mad about anyway?”
“She’s going to get mad that you’ve defiled my sheets, you’ve ripped another of my kimonos, and that you’ve made me happy. Now get up,” Jaejoong knelt and pulled Yunho in the direction to the closet, “Get inside.”
“This is not dignified,” Yunho muttered with a frown, “And this is not how I want to be woken up. Husbands don’t belong in closets.”
“You’re not my husband.”
“I wish I could be.”
Jaejoong tossed the dirtied sheets into the closet and smiled at Yunho in an overly saccharine manner, “Well then, husbands should learn how to do the laundry and how to keep quiet, don’t you think?”
Yunho huffed, “You don’t love me, do you?” He crossed his arms, and Jaejoong laughed at the childish look on his face. “Look at you, shoving your beloved into a closet and forcing him to hide.”
Jaejoong tried to shut the closet on Yunho, but Yunho pulled him in and kissed him. He tried to pull away, but Yunho kept a tight grip and forced Jaejoong’s mouth open. He refused to be satisfied after a few seconds, and it was only after Jaejoong’s lips were bruised that he let go.
“Terrible.”
Yunho laughed and patted Jaejoong’s cheek, “We can be terrible together then, don’t you think?”
Jaejoong rolled his eyes and slid the closet shut roughly. He wiped his lips, and when he glanced at the door, he noticed Chiharu peeking through.
“Is it safe for me to come in and help you clean?” she asked timidly as she slid the door open further.
“Yes, I’ve hidden the idiot away. You can come in now.”
o-o-o
They had just finished the last of their cleaning when the door slid open and Mother stood at the doorway. Chiharu quickly snapped up, and she scuttled away with her eyes glued onto the floor.
Jaejoong sat down, and Mother sat down across him. He noticed the box of ekubu that she had, and he stiffened all the more. He clasped his hands together on his lap, and he tilted his head in mock innocence.
“Is there something you want?
Mother’s eyes landed on his neck, and she frowned in obvious disapproval but said nothing. She placed the box onto the table and pushed it towards him, “This is for Reina’s mizuage. I have been informed in advance that Yunho is having a party tonight, and he has requested your presence as usual.”
Jaejoong kept his eyes on Mother’s face, “You wish for me to take Reina with me so that she may present this to him?” His jaw hardened, “Do you know that you are asking me to present a woman to the man that I love?”
“It is important for Reina that Yunho bids. His participation in the bidding will encourage the other bidders to bid higher,” Mother replied, “If he knows that you are accepting of this then I am sure he will have no hesitation in bidding.”
“You can’t force me to do this.”
Mother raised an eyebrow, “You place your own happiness over hers?”
“Am I not allowed to?” Jaejoong snapped, “Am I not allowed to care for myself? I love Yunho, and I trust him. Even if I pleaded for him to bid, he would not bid because I have faith that he loves me. If I offered this to him, he would be insulted.”
“He has bid for these things before -“
Jaejoong stood up, “He has bid before, but what matters is that he does not bid now. I do not care about his lovers from before. I know him, and he loves me and only me. He would not bid, and you cannot force him to. You are abusive of me, and I refuse to do your dirty work.”
Mother got up angrily, “You are much too uncontrolled now, and how I wish fate would put you in your place. You think too highly of your relationship with that man, and you will see the error of your ways in enough time.”
“I wish that fate would put you in your place. You are selfish and -“
Before Jaejoong could react, she had slapped him. He stared at her, his eyes widened in shock, and she pointed at him, her hand shaking in fury.
“As soon as your contract ends, you will get out of this okiya and never show your face here again you ungrateful fool!”
She stormed out of the room, and Jaejoong stood in shock. He shook his head and ran a hand through his hair before he walked over to the closet. Before he could open it, it slid open and Yunho enveloped him in a tight embrace.
When he pulled away, his hand gently brushed the reddened skin on Jaejoong’s face. He opened his mouth to speak, but Jaejoong spoke first.
“It does not hurt much,” he murmured softly, “It barely stings. In fact, I think that her physical means of hurting me are less effective than the words that she has spoken to me in the past.”
“I would never bid,” Yunho murmured possessively, “Not when I have you. I have bid before only out of attempts to get rid of my loneliness, but I have never bedded a woman in such a way -“
Jaejoong sighed and patted Yunho’s back, “You need not confess your past affairs to me now for I do not care as it is all in the past.” He pulled away from Yunho’s arms and sat down. He looked up at Yunho, “What?”
Yunho glanced at the box of ekubu, “If I were to eat that, would you get upset?” he laughed at Jaejoong’s disgusted expression and knelt down in front of him in order to cup his face, “I was only kidding.”
“It doesn’t make me any happier with you,” Jaejoong growled, “How dare you even talk about eating that disgusting tribute -“
Yunho chuckled, “You are adorable.”
Jaejoong frowned, “Don’t think that complimenting me will make me any less upset with your behavior. You are absolutely ridiculous sometimes, and I do not understand how anyone can take you seriously when -“
“I love you.”
Jaejoong was silent for a few moments before he gave up and glared at Yunho, “I love you too,” he spat before he shoved Yunho away and headed out of the room to look for Chiharu and his breakfast.
o-o-o
Jaejoong gnawed at his lip anxiously and glanced at Yunho, “What are you going to do when she offers it to you?” he questioned as he paced anxiously in Yunho’s bedroom. He let out a heavy breath, “What will you tell her -“
“Stop pacing,” Yunho said calmly as he took hold of two ties and lifted them up. He glanced at Jaejoong, “Which would look better?”
Jaejoong walked over and took the azure tie which matched with the kimono he was wearing, “This one,” he said in explanation as he fastened it around Yunho’s neck with his adept fingers.
Yunho chuckled and as soon as Jaejoong finished knotting it, he took hold of Jaejoong’s hands and kept them close to his heart, “Do not worry, I know what to say.”
“Somehow, you do always know what to say,” Jaejoong said softly as he raised his eyes to meet Yunho’s, “One of your numerous irritating qualities.”
“I’d say your sharp tongue is one of your many admirable qualities,” Yunho said in reply as he smiled at Jaejoong, “It makes talking to you all the more enjoyable, though really, I prefer when that tongue of yours is put to other uses.”
Jaejoong shook his head and tried to pull away but Yunho only laughed. He pressed their foreheads together, and Jaejoong scrunched up his nose, “You’re disgusting.”
“I am only disgusting so that your loveliness may shine brighter,” Yunho said in mock hurt as his smile grew wider, “Don’t you think of that as a valiant sacrifice on my part? If I were to -“
There was a knock at the door, and they pulled away from one another on instinct. Jaejoong moved away from the doorway, and he watched as Yunho walked over to receive his guest.
“I’m sorry to disturb you before you have joined the celebrations, but I have a private offer to make you. Is it acceptable for me to talk to you within the privacy of your room?”
Jaejoong stiffened at the sound of Reina’s voice, and he felt at a loss with what to do. He tried to escape to the bathroom, but before he could, Reina had already seen him. Her eyes widened in surprise before they narrowed in disdain.
It was that look of disdain that kept him in the room, and if she had been kinder in her expression, he probably would have left. Instead, Jaejoong felt his anger flare up slightly so he stayed in the room.
“What may I help you with?” Yunho asked kindly as he led Reina over to a small table. They knelt, and Jaejoong sat down at his side. Yunho glanced at Jaejoong but said nothing before he turned his eyes to Reina, “I am willing to help you if -“
Before he could say another word, Reina bowed down low and presented the box of ekubu to Yunho. She straightened up and kept her eyes downcast in a demure manner which Jaejoong found ridiculous and incredibly fake - he knew her, and he knew she was anything but a demure creature.
Yet as the box stayed on the table, Jaejoong felt his heart pace slightly. He glanced at Yunho and bit his lip anxiously, waiting for his reaction.
“I would be most honored if you participated,” Reina spoke softly, “It would be a high compliment and a -“
“I’m sorry,” Yunho said as he pushed the box back towards Reina, “I cannot participate in the bidding.” He held Jaejoong’s hand underneath the table and squeezed it reassuringly, “It would not be right.”
Reina’s face fell, and Jaejoong’s eyes widened in surprise. She looked like she was on the brink of tears, and before he could say anything, she ran out of the room. Yunho stood up to follow her, but Jaejoong shook his head.
“I will speak to her.”
He left the room, and he followed the sound of her footsteps. As soon as he stopped hearing her movement, he followed the sound of her crying. Jaejoong found her in enough time, but shortly before he reached her, she straightened up.
“How dare you!” she accused as she came to him. Her eyes were red and watery, and Reina was absolutely livid, “You have ruined everything for me!”
“I have done nothing -“
“Why do you get everything that I want?” Reina choked out, “Why? You get everything that I want! I thought your career was ruined the moment I caught you that night, but instead I only discover that you have stolen him as well!”
Jaejoong froze, and he stared at her in shock.
She was in love with Yunho.
The tears flowed freely down her cheeks, “Am I not allowed to feel bitter and to feel resentment towards you? How is it that you have taken the one man that has shown me kindness and care? Are you that selfish? Do you truly even love him -“
Jaejoong held back his urge to shout at her, and he felt his anger overwhelm the pity that he had once felt for her, “I have stolen nothing from you. If anything has not come to you, it is not because of me but because of you.”
She opened her mouth to reply, but he interrupted her, “If you wonder why no one has truly shown you kindness, it is because of the way you act! Do not think that life is just unfair to you, it is unfair to everyone! If you wish to improve your life, strive for what is better and do not settle for envy!”
He breathed out heavily and shook his head at her, “You are still a child, and if you remain the way you are now then you will remain a fool for the rest of your life. If you so wish for your own happiness, you work for it - you do not wait for it to fall onto your lap.”
She was silent, and Jaejoong shot her one last look before he strode away to return to Yunho’s room.
o-o-o
He never broached the subject again with Reina, and Jaejoong preferred to leave things as they were. It wasn’t like he would have any way to comfort her, and he knew that Yunho did not want to address her feelings as Jaejoong had already said more than enough for the both of them.
It was just one of those things that got left behind in life, for Jaejoong could do nothing about Reina’s feelings. He mused on the issue a bit longer as he was waiting for Yunho to exit the bathroom, but his thoughts got interrupted when a door of the teahouse was suddenly slid open.
His head turned, and he watched in surprise as a Koichi followed the woman out of the room. Jaejoong hid back in the shadows, and he watched as Koichi’s distraught wife turned and pointed at him angrily.
“How could you accept that offer?” she snarled angrily, tears running down her face as the moonlight illuminated her face.
Koichi reached for her, but she slapped his hand away. He took a step closer, and he replied, “It is only one night, and I have not even placed a bid for Reina’s mizuage yet -“
“How could you do this to me? I’m your wife! We do not even have a child yet you are already eager to get the chance to bed another woman!”
“She is a beautiful young woman, and it is not like I am leaving you -“
“Don’t you find me beautiful?” his wife sobbed, “Did you not tell me on our wedding night that I was the most beautiful person to you, that I shined more beautifully than the moon in the night?”
“Natsumi -“
The bathroom door slid open, and Yunho came out. Jaejoong pressed a finger to his lips, signaling him to be quiet. He nodded, and the two of them slipped away into the garden as they usually did during boring events. Jaejoong pushed the couple’s argument into the farthest corner of his mind, and everything was forgotten as Yunho took him into his arms under the coverage of a willow tree.
Jaejoong kissed Yunho back eagerly, running his hands through the other’s hair and pulling his face even closer. He pressed himself flush against Yunho’s body, and he didn’t fail to notice the pleased look on Yunho’s face.
“Shall we try to slip away?” Yunho murmured between kisses as his fingers moved across the fabric of Jaejoong’s kimono and threatened to once more mess it up completely.
Jaejoong pulled his mouth away and nodded, “You do not wish to say a goodbye to the birthday celebrant?” he questioned as he set his hands on Yunho’s chest to avoid having the other man continue kissing him.
“Not really,” Yunho said honestly, “Why did you think I was so eager to leave?”
“How mean of you.”
“I’m not mean,” Yunho argued back with a frown, “You’re the one who made that poor maiko cry when you criticized her poor dancing skills.”
Jaejoong frowned back, “I only told her to practice more.”
“You told her that she would need more than a month’s worth of practice in order to get the grace of a one-legged swan,” Yunho replied as he set his hands on Jaejoong’s waist and laughed, “How mean of you.”
“It was the sake speaking.”
“No, it wasn’t. Tell me the real reason.”
Jaejoong frowned, “I overheard her talking about you in a way that I didn’t find appealing due to my status as your lover, and I think that you must also admit that she was a terrible dancer.”
“Fine, she was,” Yunho said obediently as he leaned in closer to press his forehead against Jaejoong’s. “I promise to never doubt you again, and I am sure that you are the master of dancing gracefully -“
“Now you’re just mocking me.”
Yunho chuckled, “Of course I’m not mocking you.” He laughed again, “Do you have my wallet by the way? I was offered to bid in another -“
Jaejoong glared, “That’s not funny.”
Before Yunho could say anything, the sound of a loud slap resounded. They both turned, and they caught sight of Koichi’s wife striding out of the teahouse. They glanced at each other, and Yunho pulled at Jaejoong’s hand, “I think now would probably be a good time for us to leave as well.”
Jaejoong nodded in agreement, and they walked quickly in the direction of the exit. As soon as they reached the street, Jaejoong caught sight of Koichi’s wife disappearing into the crowd. He was about to comment on it when a person tapped his shoulder.
“Have you seen -“
Koichi’s voice died in his throat, and Jaejoong stared at him in surprise. They said nothing for a few seconds, but the silence was quickly broken by Yunho who stepped into the conversation.
“Were you looking for your wife?”
Koichi’s eyes remained on Jaejoong despite Yunho being the one who had asked the question. He tore his eyes away from Jaejoong and looked at Yunho, “Yes…my wife, I was looking for her.”
Jaejoong raised his arm and pointed at the direction he had seen her go off into, “She went that way -“
“Thank you,” Koichi said indifferently as he studied Jaejoong, “You look…good.” His eyes raked over Jaejoong’s body, and Jaejoong frowned at him. He glanced at Yunho, and there was a noticeable irritated look on the businessman’s face.
Before Yunho could say anything, Jaejoong spoke first, “Thank you. You should go look for your wife now.” He placed emphasis on the word wife, and he brushed his fingers against Yunho’s, something Koichi noticed.
Jaejoong continued, “I am hoping that you manage to settle your issues with your wife soon, and I hope she’s not too upset.” He looked up at Yunho, “Shall we go now?”
Yunho nodded, and Jaejoong turned to the mute Koichi, “I wish you the best.” He let his lover lead him, and as they walked away from his former love, Jaejoong felt even surer of the fact that his relationship with Yunho was a blessing.
While Koichi had made him doubt his quality as a person, it was only with Yunho that he had begun to know what it was like to be cherished and truly loved.
o-o-o
The moon shone beautifully in the night, and Jaejoong looked at it with sentimental eyes. It cast everything in an ethereal glow, and as he turned to admire his lover, he noted how heavenly it made Yunho look.
Jaejoong sighed softly, and Yunho pulled him closer, pressing their naked bodies together, “I’m sore,” Jaejoong murmured as Yunho’s arm snaked around his waist in a devious manner, “Don’t.”
Yunho chuckled but remained persistent and crawled over Jaejoong. His legs were on Jaejoong’s sides, and he lowered himself down to slowly buck against Jaejoong and rub against him.
“Can’t I have a moment of peace?” Jaejoong asked between moans as Yunho began to nuzzle his neck and thrust against him at a slower pace, “Just -“ his words were cut off with a moan as Yunho bit at his neck roughly, “Yunho!”
Yunho pulled away and looked at him with innocent eyes, “Yes?”
Jaejoong’s heart melted, and he let out an irritated sigh. He hated the way Yunho looked at him - how his eyes lit up, how his eyes crinkled, how he seemed so in love with him - because whenever Yunho look at him with those eyes, he had little power to resist anything Yunho asked of him.
He could deny Yunho hardly anything, most especially sex, but he knew that the same went for Yunho as well. They both cherished their time together, and Jaejoong was eager for his contract with the okiya to end so that they would be even freer with one another.
It was only when they were together that Yunho revealed more of his personality. While he usually maintained a good-natured businessman front for everyone else, it was only when it was just the two of them that his other traits revealed themselves.
He could be spoiled and possessive, demanding every second of Jaejoong’s interest and wanting him to pay the most attention to him at all times. He could be childish whenever Jaejoong refused him sex, whining and complaining until he got his way eventually. He could be serious and contemplative some nights, discussing how they’d live life in the future and how he’d like to help Jaejoong start a business of his own choosing so that he wouldn’t feel so dependent on him all the time. He could be rough and dominant, bruising Jaejoong’s skin in between growls of dirty words and lust-driven speech. He could be gentle and chaste, apologizing profusely after times in which his lust took him too far and kissing him in ways that made reminded Jaejoong of a shy school boy.
But what Jaejoong loved the most was when Yunho looked at him and smiled. Whether it be in the afterglow of their love making or any other time, his heart would always flutter and his breath would always catch at the sight of Yunho’s handsome smile.
They would stare at each other for a few seconds each time, and it would take only a brief touch from Yunho to have Jaejoong completely surrender to him once again. It wasn’t Yunho’s face that made the smile special; it was the feelings behind it that always captured Jaejoong’s heart.
No words were necessary because an ‘I love you’ would just not suffice. What lay behind the smile was not just a declaration of love but of something else, of feelings that were abundant, and of promises that Jaejoong had no doubt Yunho would keep.
It was each smile that made him fall more in love with Jung Yunho every day.
“You’re lost again,” Yunho murmured affectionately as he pulled away from Jaejoong’s neck and smiled at him tenderly, “What are you thinking about?”
Before Jaejoong could say a word, Yunho leaned down and kissed him gently. He brushed back Jaejoong’s hair, “I love it when you look at me like that. You don’t say a single word, but…”
They met each other’s gazes once more, and Jaejoong chuckled softly before he thrust against Yunho, “No more words are necessary.” He raised his face to tug at Yunho’s earlobe encouragingly with his teeth, and he wrapped his arms around Yunho’s neck as he moved against him suggestively.
Yunho smiled, and once again, Jaejoong just knew what the other was feeling. He felt like his heart was going to burst from happiness, and as Yunho leaned down to kiss him, he didn’t think that any word or phrase would be able to capture how much he felt for Yunho.
As he kissed Yunho back and his eyes fluttered shut, he knew they would not talk for the rest of the evening.
There was nothing more that needed to be said.
Author’s Note: Belated happy birthday
guirotic! >.< I’m sorry it’s so late. D: I also apologize in advance for any historical inaccuracies, though I did do some research on the mizuage and even went to this all about geisha site. Haha. The ekubu mention is from Memoirs of a Geisha, so yeah. XD I hope this lives up to the previous part, and thank you so much for all your comments! And if any of you are curious, the title means, The Things that Aren't Said. XD I’m sorry that I haven’t been updating so often. >.< I’m going to try to write stuff now that I’ll be on break from school. Once again, thank you so much for reading! ♥
