Interesting story, I liked it. You had the voices nicely spot on I thought.

I do think it's a bit mean even for "Second b for bastard" Gibbs to start something with Tony whilst he's at FLETC, only to drop him once he's a qualified agent, just because of rule 12. More likely, he will come round to the view that it won't apply any more, because Tony will be irresistable!

Thank you very much, glad the voices rang true to how they might have been pre-series!

That's why it's open-ended - Gibbs is a stubborn bastard, but I'm not sure even his iron will could hold out against Tony! ;-)

Thank you!

I really liked this. It does have some British terms that took me out of the story for a second or two, but it wasn't enough to spoil the whole impact.

You've done a good job showing the progression of their relationship from paternal to something totally different. I like the idea that his meetings with Gibbs is what led Tony to be a cop. It's very cool.

Well done.

Thank you very much, I'm really glad you enjoyed it! :-)

I was concerned about the unwitting Britishisms - if any were troublesonely glaring, and if you had the time, I'd be grateful for a heads up!

I'm glad the progression worked well for you, and thanks again!

Well, the two most jarring examples are in the first section. One, in the the US, we don't use meters(metres). We use feet or yards.
Two, you use the term bonnet to refer to what I think is the hood of the car in the US.

I hope that helps.

That's really helpful, thank you very much - easily fixed, too! :-)

Awww, I loved this! Not sure which part I liked most, though I do have a soft spot for little 6 year old Tony.

Eee! Tobias is gonna be after you now you counterfeiter *g*

Thank you so much! And you know that six year old Tony would be impossibly adorable. And maybe adorably impossible, too. ;-)

Eek! I love Fornell, but I think I'd prefer Gibbs interrogating me!

Loved it and I don't know why you call it self indulgent. I thought the meeting in the hospital was fantastic and teenaged Tony spot on.

Thank you so much, I'm glad teenager Tony was believable! I don't know, I think I wrote it purely to satisfy my desire for adorably young, troubled Tony, and I was a little worried about the realism despite it technically fitting into canon so far! Glad it worked for you, though. :-D

This is excellent! I love the idea of fate constantly bringing them together until they did something about it, and that it was the force of Gibbs' personality that pulled Tony to NCIS, running to Gibbs instead of away from something when he left Baltimore. I'm also in love with the way they circle around each other, moving closer and closer until the end. My favorite was 1991 (ahem) followed very closely by 1996, but the whole thing had this lazy, slow feel to it, almost like molasses. Of course Gibbs would be the one to have faith that they'll meet again, but it's so in-character for neither of them to do anything to find each other. Until, of course, they've been pushed so close that they do ( ... )

You totally picked the two that are my favourites too! I'm glad it didn't come across too rushed, either, I kind of wanted to build on that feeling I get from the series that the two of them have been, with a few mometary glitches, fairly constant in the other's life for a while. This just extended that, but of course, actually doing something about it before too long would involve more communication than either of them are comfortable with!

Off to edit - there's quite a few Britishisms I totally wouldn't have noticed that have been picked up on, so thank you for those!

And thanks, I'm really glad you enjoyed it, and that it came across as at least vaguely authentic! :-D
