Please enjoy this new chapter of "House of Pullip"! But sorry the photos are a tiny bit odd in the color department...I'm still experimenting with the settings on my camera. They all seem to be very bright in the red spectrum this time around, sorry about that. :P
Chapter 281: Knowing
*Taryn is walking around the outside of the house hoping to meet some new people…she sees Felix hanging around by himself*
Taryn: Hi!
Felix: Hi…do I know you?
Taryn: No…but you look familiar. Have we met?
Felix: I doubt it.
Taryn: I swear I’ve seen you before…oh! I know, I was at a club last night, were you there?
Felix: I work at a club as a DJ.
Taryn: That was it, I saw you there.
Taryn: You live here?
Felix: Yeah.
Taryn: I just moved here.
Felix: That’s nice.
Taryn: …
*Felix obviously is not in the mood for talking…Taryn is undaunted*
Taryn: I’m Taryn.
Felix: Felix.
Taryn: Do you like being a DJ?
Felix: It’s okay.
Taryn: But you like music? *points at his guitar*
Felix: Actually, yes.
Taryn: You write music? That’s impressive.
Felix: *finding himself unexpectedly drawn into the conversation* I try to write music.
Taryn: I can tell you aren’t much of a talker, but thanks for talking to me anyway.
Felix: How do you figure these things out so fast?
Taryn: I can just tell. If I see you at the club again can I talk to you there?
Felix: I guess…but that club, it’s not the best place to hang out.
Taryn: Really?
Felix: Yeah, I wouldn’t want to see you get hurt so that’s some free advice for you.
*Taryn smiles, they keep talking*
Elsewhere…
Shiloh: Oh, Oki! She is so adorable. And I can see how happy you are.
Oki: *smiles* Thank you!
Hawk: She seems to like me…
Shiloh: She likes your fluffy hair. *laughs*
Hawk: Hey, Shiloh and I were suppose to be the first parents around here!
Shiloh: Hawk!
*They all laugh*
Crispin: Sorry we beat you to it.
Shiloh: I don’t care, I’m just happy for you.
*Penelope takes a sudden interest in Shioh’s baby belly*
Penelope: Oh…baby!
Shiloh: That’s right; I’m going to have a baby.
Penelope: Baby girl.
Shiloh: I don’t know, we’ll find out when the baby is born. It might be a boy…
Penelope: Baby girl!
Hawk: That’s cute how Penelope is guessing the baby is a girl.
Oki: I don’t know…sometimes pixies have instincts about these things…she might…know something. She’s young though so it’s hard to say.
Shiloh: That’s amazing! What if she’s right?
Crispin: We’ll find out when the baby is born, I guess, then we’ll see if she is right or not.
Penelope: I’m right!
*They all laugh*

Felix is being as anti-social as usual, but Taryn likes to talk to people and doesn't let introversion turn her off. Felix also has him mind on another girl who is still avoiding him. Taryn doesn't know that yet...plus it's interesting to note that Taryn draws Felix out much like Felix used to do for Ivy. Felix can't help but talk to her (Taryn), she's that kind of person.
Not all pixies are the same (at least not in my story) so Penelope's gifts may not be the same as Oki's. Still, her "guess" that Shiloh and Hawk's baby is a girl isn't that surprising since I don't have any little boy dolls. :P
Sorry also that I don't have any additional photos today, but I am expecting Piper's new eyes in the mail today (hopefully) so I will try to take photos of those tomorrow if I can. :D
