New Boy!
I blame plastic_army (among others) for this...
My Jade arrived yesterday. He is all kinds of awesomeness! I wanted a new boy and I had a hard time deciding between William and Jade...in the end I picked Jade and I think that was the best choice for me. Perhaps I will get William later, but for now I'm good. His name is Laszlo. :D
Here's a full body shot so you can see his stock outfit. He looks ready to skydive...he's definitely going to be friends with Hawk. It's been a while since I've bought a brand new doll from Jun Planning but it seems they finally learned how to pack a Taeyang in a box without making him look like he's sitting on a toilet. :P It still took me 15 minutes to get him out of the box though...
His wig is really nice. The color is obviously great, but I was surprised by how soft and manageable it is. There are still fly-aways (as expected) but for JP this is a surprisingly great wig. Another note, his eyechips are really neat, too. :D
Here he is with his scarf, which I love. Doesn't he have a great skin tone, too? He's just really cool, I'm glad I got him. Again, since it's been a while since I've bought anything Pullip related, he is also my first one with the new levers to keep the eye lids closed. I'm liking that a lot, I wish all my dolls had that feature.

Piper modeling another new dress I made:
This is a two piece set, a blue jumper over a white short sleeved shirt. I did the jumper without a pattern but I did get the idea from a dress I saw on Flickr so I'm not claiming originality or anything like that. I think I've got the sleeves down about as good as I'm going to get them for this pattern (the same one I was using for those high waist dresses I made earlier). Overall, I'm really happy with how this outfit turned out, I think it might be my favorite. :D
I was going to sew for Cameron first, before doing another dress for my yellows...but I'm still toying around with ideas on exactly how to do that. So instead I went ahead and made this dress instead before I lost my brainwave on how I wanted to go about doing it.
I don't have a chapter of "House of Pullip" for today. It's written, I just don't have photos. I'm just not enthusiastic about doing it so I think that's a sign I might need a tiny break. Maybe I'll do it tomorrow, but it won't be a long break so no worries. I'm just feeling a little blah today so I had some hot chocolate (that helped) and I'm going to take a hot bath in just a bit...maybe have some more hot chocolate...read a book. That's all I really feel like doing.
