"The 15 things a woman should have/own" meme
As the newsletter of this magazine (Donna Moderna) I sometimes buy goes...
1) A shelter all for yourself : um ... no. Unless you can consider a shelter/safe heaven my room…
2 ) Time for yourself : No. Unless you count the night. When I sleep.
3 ) A purse with infinite capacity : I’ve got it! It’s a marvelous, gigantic Desigual-like purse
4) The courage to be independent : I lack it.
5 ) Nurturing a passion: yes, but not as strongly as I should. I may keep writing and painting, but I’d never have the strength of character to do it professionally.
6) Your courage: I kind of lack in that department….
7) Lipstick in your purse : two of three of those for purse, you mean.
8) A notebook in your purse : A black Moleskine, to write everything from sudden orders or phone numbers, songs, thoughts, phone-numbers…...
9) Traveling alone : I’ve never done it- but there’s a good chance I’ll be doing it next summer.
10) The key to the bathroom: I’ve been forbidden from closing myself in the bathroom after my mother almost had a stroke because I was so engrossed in an marvelous hot shower I didn’t hear her knocking and I didn’t even bother answering… closed door is enough at my place to signal that “No, you can’t come in.”
11) Pride in what you do : a couple of things do make me proud; I normally fight with a tingling sense of either longing or guilt, but making sure that Mina, the 3-days old kitty I found some years back, grew to be the feisty cat she is today, well, THAT made me proud.
12)Girlfriends: not a lot of them, but I could never, ever replace them, not even in a million of years.
13)Scarves and foulards : I have a drawer full of them…
14) Your favorite glasses : checked! Both to see, as I have to wear them since I’m 17, and the ones with the dark lenses AND to see…
15) Enthusiasm: I sort of lack it, but every now and then I feel it resurfacing…
