This quote is from P. G. Wodehouse's novel French Leave:
'I wandered through a world of women, seeking you,' said the poet, and Jeff felt how true that was. And there was another poet who said 'Once you're kissed by Amy, tear up the list, it's Amy,' and that was true, too. These poets hit the nail on the head.
I'm trying to find out if there is an actual poem or song or movie or original source with the "tear up the list, it's Amy" line. I've Googled but only keep getting hits that lead back to French Leave.
Anybody?

ETA: found over at another comm - and this one too! - to which I cross-posted this question. It's a Frank Loesser song, "Once in Love with Amy" from the musical Where's Charley? If anyone has any further information, though, I'd very much appreciate it. (Mods, sorry, is there a "found" tag or its equivalent that I'm just not seeing?)
