Vous êtes à Vérone.

Sooooo.

Any of you lovely people -- aside from goddessofbirth -- fans of the Fast and the Furious franchise? Or at least Fast Five?

Because I have just been hit hard and fast with a craving for anything and everything Han/Gisele. AO3 has rendered exactly three fics under the different variations on the Han/Gisele tag. Fanfiction.net has no Gisele character tag, ( Read more... )

and your point is?, with friends like these, question, shut up music is my boyfriend, fandom is fun

Color me VERY intrigued! I shall bookmark said live version, and annoy the heck out of my husband with it, besides.

Is it just me, or does French!Romeo look like a perfect Teen Remy? I mean, PERFECT?!?

Hee! A potential new convert!

It's a neat take. I'm fond of "On dit dans la rue", where Benvolio and Mercutio call Romeo on his shit. Second favourite after "Vérone".

...and dammit. What has been seen cannot be unseen.

LOL Yes, I have bruised your brain, I'm sorry.

But the irony of "La Haine," where they're all, "listen to the women"? Hello, the women are throwing down as much as the men, silly Ladies!

Bruised it in a good way. Or cut in in a way that leaves one of those bitchin' scars that you can make up awesome stories about.

No kidding, right?

In the full, non-subtitled version, there's a scene -- "La Bal". Check out how insistent Tybalt is on dancing with and keeping close to Juliette...

If you want a link to the full bit, non subtitled, let me know. The dialogue is pretty easy to fill in mentally if you know the story. The characters are pretty animated too, which helps. It develops the characters (Benvolio particularly) a little more.

To the entire production? Or just the ballroom scene? I'll take the ballroom scene RIGHT NOW, but since my break is coming to its sudden but inevitable betrayel end soon, I probably wouldn't get back to the entire show again until US Thanksgiving in late November ( ... )

This would be act one of the show, not subtitled. The link to the second act is in the right side column.

Oh yes. Juliette with her wide-eyed, hand-reaching. She does better at the ball when she's forced to move (dancing and whatnot), but I do see what you mean.

Okay. True.

And as for the English fandom? Here. It's a link to the Pit, and the collection is small, but it's there.
If you find something in your travels around LJ, please share. I couldn't track anything down in my search.

(God. Why do I feel like writing some Benvolio/La Muette? Why do I simply just need more Benvolio/La Muette in my life? *headdesk*)

Re: Second Edit
AGAIN WITH THE IMPOSSIBLE TO UNSEE. AND I LOVE IT.
(Is it just me, or does it seem like Benvolio's characterization is kind of what Mercutio's supposed to be like? Not saying Mercutio isn't Mercutio, but Benvolio is always more of a peacekeeper, less loose type of character...at least in my head and reading of the text.

Many thanks for the video links!

She does do better when she's moving... and her fingers had energy all the way to their tips for a brief and shining moment as she reached upward for Romeo.

Yay, more to read! (I should so be doing schoolish things right now. Oh, well. I'll get there eventually, and at least there's no grading to accomplish at the moment.) Should I locate anything on LJ, I will most definately pass it along.

Yes, Benvolio always struck me as a rule-follower, at least in comparison to Mercutio and Romeo; I think this Mercutio is a darker, more bitter one, which leaves B free to be a bit more lighthearted.

And on the topic of "what has been seen cannot be unseen," I now have very vague crossovers involving Romeo et Juliette, Firefly, and the X-Men running through my brain. Or, perhaps not running, but popping up at random moments. Scary.

You're more than welcome, and you're an absolute peach.

Heh. Enjoy! I just wish there were more...particularly stuff that hasn't just been shoved in that section for no apparent reason. You'll see what I mean.

NOOOOOOOOOOOO! I have no idea what I'd do with all of that. Plus, I really have been trying to work on a Teen!Vengers ScienceBros thing. Swear I have.

MUA HA HAAAAA *ahem* I'm awfully glad you find this snippet appealing. :D

I would offer to trade it for the Clint/Natasha that you've got going on, but it's only about halfway done at this point. I think.

Plus, break is ending, so freedom to write for my own enjoyment will be drastically limited again, quite soon. Waah and other noises of distress.

A few more sentences to tune, and "Be Still, My Battered Heart" will be ready.
