I love you like a murder babe, I'm burrying the bones.
1) Exhaustion.
It's so weird when days at work go incredibly fast. You want to thank your lucky stars because days that move quickly are by and large good ones. You're in a good mood because things are happening and you're kept busy. Then you get home and you realize that you pulled something in your arm moving a box, and your feet are killing you, and yeah that WAS eight hours. Oof.
As opposed to one of my coffee and advil cocktails, I think I'm going to have a tea and advil one.
That is, unless Jewels is feeling nice and will use her pretty and shiny new espresso machine to make me a decaf latte...
2) Reading.
According to the records I've been keeping, I've finished a total 91 books since January. That's more than I figured I was at, actually. I've got two three books on my bedside table that I'm working on right now, and if I'm very good I might be able to finish them either tonight or tomorrow.
While on the topic of books and the like, I think it's time for me to flail about David Mack. I found the second volume of Kabuki by complete and total fluke the other day at my comic shop, and scooped that up like nobody's business. It's beautiful and wonderful, and it gave me an excuse to re-read the first volume and fall in love with his story telling and his artwork all over again.
3) Music.
I blame Katt for introducing me to Thea Gilmore via the song "This Girl Is Taking Bets"
I blame Thea Gilmore for being ridiculously awesome via the song "Razor Valentine". I had this stuck in my head all day at work, and I didn't mind at all.
4) The Order Of The Night.
Onwards to tea, to advil, to not folding my laundry, and to crashing just before eight thirty at night. I'd throw in a joke about how I'm much too young to feel this damn old, but I think I'd get things thrown at me.
Does the Me First and the Gimmie Gimmes cover make up for the bad Garth Brooks reference?
