Going nowhere and back again

I didn't update last week cuz I was just lazy. Last weekend was too long ago for me to remember details. But Rachel came over Friday night and we had practice at Tim's Saturday afternoon. All last week pretty much sucked. It was really boring. And this week isn't promising to be much better cuz I have a lot of work to do. This weekend was pretty good though.

Friday after classes I went to the Pepsi bottling plant for this group project in Operations Management class. It was actually pretty interesting. And I got a free Red Fusion hat! Then my mom and I drove to the last apartment place that Mike and I skipped and it was pretty bad. We definitely have our minds set on Seven Springs now.

That night, Mike, Shannon, and I went to the Salvation Army to see the FW and Peache. We got there in time to see Blackberry Crush and they were pretty cool. We mostly played basketball during them though. It was me, Mike, Danny (who is really good if you didn't know), Dick, and PK vs. all of A New Hope, some tall dude, and Drew. Of course we won... at least if we were keeping count we would have. It was cool though cuz we got to bond with the ANH guys. They're actually really cool kids. I told them to talk to Dru about playing with us at BFYC on Friday but Chris (their drummer) is gonna be in Florida and the show is filled now anyway.

Then the FW went on and I got to be their roadie and put their setlists down! Man was that special! ;-) They played well though. Much better than at St Mags. I can't wait til they start writing more songs so they can cut their bad ones ;-) Peache was awesome too. Even though they still didn't play "Marty" :-( Their new songs are really good though. Definitely different from their old style too. More poppy. The show was fun. Much better than I was expecting.

Saturday morning we got up nice and early and went over to practice at Ryan's for the first time ever. We made it through the set twice and worked a lot on our new song (Passenger Side, which is what the quote in the subject comes from) so that'll be ready for the show next week. It's an awesome song. You're just gonna have to come to BFYC ON APRIL 11th AT 7 PM to hear for yourself. We're playing with Orchard, A Silent Cry, and A Modest Promise. At the show we'll be announcing that we're changing out name to "A Showcase"

I left for Rachel's right when I got home and got to spend the night with her. We watched Urban Legend and then Gilly came over to watch GC on SNL with us. They looked sooo nervous, it was cute. Joel's voice didn't sound great but they sounded pretty good overall. Then she left and we stayed up for a while talking. Then in the morning we went shopping for sheets before she had to work. So excited for next year when I can spend more time with her. We didn't wind up buying anything, although she did buy this really soft comforter that we liked later. And she's gonna buy the sheets that we really liked and I'm gonna pay her back since my mom's not buying that kinda stuff for me like I thought she would. She's giving me so much other stuff though that it's ok.
