Just a quick note to squee about the 1hourtowrite chat. I was hoping that the chat would help me get something done, but I wasn't prepared for a great success. I actually began work on the first chapter of the sequel to Water Hazard, its 2 pages long about 800 words so I'm really thrilled to finally be seeing some progress on this since I've been meaning to write it for more than a year. I haven't forgotten the requests to finish my other stories. I'm re-reading When the Evidence Lies in the hope of rekindling thoughts about that one, right now Sara's Little Diversion is on a couple days break while I let the next chapter percolate. Anyway props to Jen for creating that community and I'm looking forward to seeing what more I can churn out.
Nothing much to report on the home front, except that I completely destroyed and rebuilt my school schedule (again) and am taking 12 units of digital media studies so in the future you may see my attempts at photoshop, web design and stuff. I think this is mostly just a break, but I found a neat program at UC Berkeley that deals with aspects of human-computer interface. So one part of my mine is pointing out that I could have my phd in this faster than getting my law degree, but I don't have to decide today thank goodness, but I'm thinking of applying for one of google's internships anyway to try and expand my resume and hire-ability. We'll see. For now I'm off to watch Mansfield Park with Billie Piper on Masterpiece Theatre. Its funny I couldn't watch the season premieres of Dr. Who or Torchwood but I watched a movie yesterday with Christopher Eccleson and Billie Piper today. Seeing the Doctor and Rose in other roles is great. I'll probably watch BBC's supernatural Saturday on the dvr in the next couple days, but with school starting tomorrow not sure what my homework schedule will look like yet.
