I've always liked kitsune stories, starting with my introduction to them, "The Fox's Wedding" from Kurasawa's Dreams.

This Halloween my original idea was to dress like a kitsune, except that didn't work.

There is a part of me that loves to perform good and righteous acts.

It compels me to right wrongs and defend the defenseless.

It longs for a valiant quest. A hard-won victory. An adventure.

It longs to be a Lookout.

I had to play with the pencil versions contrast/brightness because when I first scanned it you could barely see anything. Now? It's mimeotastic!

Not much to say today, or at least not much I want to say. It was a sort of dull and middling except for a few bright spots.

Sara got me a stylin' picture frame that matches my striped "ice cream man" seersucker shirt, which I coincidentally wore today. Very serendipitous.

So 24 hour comics was quite an experience. I worked furiously away from 8pm Sunday to 5pm Monday and finished my 24 pages under time! :) I was really excited about this event and glad we all seemed to enjoy it (although most of us are the worse for wear).

So today for our star-themed storytime I read Coyote in Love, by Mindy Dwyer. So last night was Mandi's birthday party. Fun was had by all. The burgers were good and I was all non-gluttonous and just had one. Go, unnoticed restraint!
