TokenRPF: Fall Out Boy, with appearances by Cobra Starship, Panic! At The Disco, The Academy Is... and Gym Class Heroes by
giganticJoe hears, from the tooth fairy, or possibly Tinkerbell, that he needs to get it, in a gay way. He valiantly attempts this, and it's wonderful. This is like eating candyfloss; you're not sure why it's so delicious, or what really is there, but damn is it ever sweet and hot and awesome. In the quest, Joe deals with Ryan and Brendon's demands, William's unfocused look, Travis'...being high out of his mind, Gabe's truly unhelpful advice, and finally, despite all this, gets it together. I really love Joe a lot, and it bums me to see him missing out on the merry-go-round of gay that is FBR; here, that lack is totally made up, and it makes me beam, and my heart is singing, and my girly parts are all a-wobble. YAY. Seriously, I am going to rec this story later, and am totally going to come up with an entirely different set of reasons why I love it so much.
On a somewhat-related topic, I think I really love Gabe Saporta a lot. And the rest of Cobra Starship, but let me continue. Despite the creepy eyes, and the possible drug addiction, and a lot of other things, the man is so willing to let himself look like a total fool. It's really refreshing.
Like, okay, today I saw two music videos.
Fall Out Boy's
The Take Over, The Break's Over and
Cobra Starship's
Take My Love To The Dancefloor (Hey Mr DJ) Each is awesome in their own way, with Pete's grand artistic vision culminating in, uh, Joe almost smashing his face, and Patrick dressing as steak, and Gabe's mescaline-fueled plans ending with his band, as aliens, teaching the emo and hipster kids how to dance, from space. THAT'S A LOT OF AWESOME. I love how the video descriptions there are totally serious; this fandom has spoiled me for crack. But look at Pete and Gabe themselves there; Pete is hiding off camera, except when being called a sell-out, and looking sort of bummed. Gabe is getting his groove on, and this involves a lot of exercise gear and looking like a spaz. YET TOTALLY BEAM-INDUCING.
I find myself hoping like nothing else that the Cobra Starship video gets onto MTV, if only for the hilarity of them on one of those video request shows. HAHA, on TRL. This will never stop being funny. HAHAHAHA.
