I'm sorry, I love Rodney McKay a lot. That is all, because these are older recs, and I have graduation tomorrow, and I just spent forty minutes making a stand for my mortarboard, so I could wear it sideways, like a very well-educated mohawk.

Ronon and Rodney make a shiny, shiny gun, and have lots of sex. The causal relationship of these two things could be questioned, but okay, it is Pegasus, things are funny. I like this a lot, it is composed of tacit acceptance and clever lines, and all the lovely things that ought to be able to happen in real life. I have a lot of fondness for this version of Ronon, he's alarmingly attractive and fun. And has a great backstory, one which is totally lacking in canon. So, more awesome than, like, strawberries and sugar.

Oh, this is so fun. John and Rodney buy each other elaborate presents, eat a lot of pizza, drink a lot of beer, and play videogames. In those ways, they are totally normal. However, these presents involve weapons, and the beer and videogames are a prelude to becoming boyfriends. It's a step left of normal, but it is delightful anyway. I really like how funny it all is, and how easily they slip into that.

Oh, John. Poor dear. Awkward and fumbling and altogether wonderful. I like this a lot, I find it awfully cute, and I have this kink for invasion of personal space, it's a weakness of mine. Also, John Sheppard being screwed up. OH, yeah, right there. And there are such lovely images in this story, man, I cannot get over it. One day I'll be sensitive and thoughtful, but for now, imperious and exploitative works.

101 Ways To Get Lucky (In Love)

Aww. Romantic and sweet. In true romance-novel style, rich and difficult businessman Rodney McKay decides he needs a family, and hires charming and quirky John Sheppard to accomplish this. Accordingly, things do not go as Rodney had planned; they never do, in these novels. But, in my long history of reading them, never have I encountered such fun secondary characters, or actually, entertaining leads. They're snarky, and a more than a little bad at interpersonal relationships, and I love them so very much.

In conclusion, space boyfriends and their inadequacies? ARE AWESOME. I have to find more Ronon fic, I know I have it bookmarked and recced somewhere...
