Wow, so I was in St. Louis to visit my brother on the fourth too, but I didn't get to see the flooding.
Its really sad though, for all the people who have been affected by this. My town was hit by a couple tornadoes earlier this year, (we actually had soft ball sized hail. Soft Ball...) but I feel worse for the flood victims. At least if your roof is blown off, you can rebuild just that part. There is nothing you can do about mold and rotting wood in your house, other then tear it down, or go through massive renovations.
And this is why you don't piss off Mother Nature. Damn global warming...
Awww, you were in St. Louis and we didn't have a scary stalker-like meet-up? XDD
Wow. I have never seen hail bigger than a marble, so that sounds extremely horrifying. But yeah, about floods... The damage just keeps on getting worse. I'm kind of annoyed at myself, because even with all the news of flooding, I never thought that it would be so visible and have such an impact. *shamed palmface*.
Arrg. Global warming. Sometimes I really don't want to think about the future.
Yeah, it's too bad. I bet at some point, we DID come across each other, unknowing, because my luck is like that.
Oh it was scary, I'm just glad our cars were spared damage. My friend's windshield looked like it had been smashed in with a baseball bat. They even sounded the tornado sirens to get people inside while the stuff was coming down. Being deathly afraid of tornados, this freaked me out even more then the small ice boulders falling on my roof.
I was surprised that St. Louis got it as bad as it did. I suppose I expected the flood waters to dissipate somewhere between Iowa and St. Louis, but obviously that's not how floods work. And the sheer amount of water required to do that kind of damage is amazing/horrifying. All those displaced people.....
Ugh...life sucks. I know, I don't like thinking about global warming either, but...someone has too... *says that, but makes no effort to conserve energy*
You know, I'm posting caps later today, and no one will look at them besides me because they are soooo late, but MAOU!! please beat down that 14% rating next week!
...I keep imagining someone walking Jesus/Moses style across that flooded crosswalk. XD
