"That'll do, pig"

Last night I FINALLY got the chance to sit down and watch my Zombieland DVD that I got months ago. I seriously love this movie to death. It definitely falls into the category of being one of my all time favorite films. The dialogue is outstanding and one of the reasons why I love it so much. Also, the zombie special effects are gory and perfect. The dynamic between the four main characters is great and, HOLY SHIT, I only just realized that Emma Stone plays Wichita. I'm a bad fangirl, but that's one more reason to love that woman. Oh, and the Bill Murray cameo gets to me every time.

The bonus footage was equally awesome, I love seeing how films are put together. I was surprised to learn that the original conception for the film was actually as a television series. Now that I think about it, I can totally see that working. I'm really looking forward to The Walking Dead, but Zombieland would have made a great TV show because it combines both horror and comedy. Of course, depending what station they were on, they would have had to tone down the gore and the language.

Also, there was something that crossed my mind while I was watching the film. How is it that there's still electricity? I know they say that the infection has only been around for a few months, but it seems like that would have been one of the first things to go. I mean, there was enough to power up all of Pacific Playland. I guess it was simply a plot device that we were meant to ignore.

In other zombie related news, Alex sent me the link to The Sacrifice comics from the Left 4 Dead games. I'm familiar with the games, but not an avid player. These comics are great, though! An awesome read and I love the artwork.

On a completely different topic, I've decided that I need Eclipse to come out on DVD. I must watch it in all of it's crap-tastic glory and write a snarky review. Then, hopefully soon after, the Rifftrax will come out! It seriously makes any movie one thousand times better, especially if it's a crappy one. I was browsing their site and I am now determined to watch Titanic, Jurassic Park, and Paranormal Activity. Two out of those three movies I actually love, but I know that the Rifftrax will be epic! Oh, and it says that Jaws 3 will be coming soon! Ha!

One final thing before I go. You all remember the guy who dressed up as Ten last faire season? At faire this past weekend two people came dressed as the Eleventh Doctor and Amy. It was awesome. I haven't found pictures yet, but if I do I will definitely post them. :D
