DAY FIFTEEN
Movie
You have ten more days until Christmas. The music has been going none stop since BEFORE Thanksgiving. The sappy holiday movies have been on loop. The traffic is crazy everywhere and every sales person is wearing a Santa hat. Going postal at the next "Merry Christmas" isn't far off is it? That means it's time for some "bah humbug" violent Christmas movies! Let's start with one I love (my gal was incredulous when I said this was totally a Christmas movie), "
Die Hard" with Bruce Willis & Alan Rickman done in 1988. This is how everyone should start off the season.
The only reason to see this holiday movie,"
Batman Returns," is to see Michelle Pfeiffer in that outfit. Rwar. Merry Christmas to me.
I have only seen bits and pieces of this movie, and those I didn't like. But I couldn't not include "
Gremlins in today's posting. Even the "cute" ones are creepy in my opinion.
Book
Now for a kids book (really, it is) that have Santa's evil twin, Bob Claus. "
Santa's Twin" by Dean Koontz is a great book so the kids, too, can be in on the Crabby Christmas Holiday Countdown post. There is even a sequel, "
Robot Santa" again by Dean Koontz, that is worth picking up.
Song
How can you not have this song during the holiday season?

Christmas Facts
Charles Dickens' initial choice for Scrooge's statement "Bah Humbug" was "Bah Christmas."
During World War II it was necessary for Americans to mail Christmas gifts early for the troops in Europe to receive them in time. Merchants joined in the effort to remind the public to shop and mail early and the protracted shopping season was born.
In 1996, Christmas caroling was banned at two major malls in Pensacola, Florida. Apparently, shoppers and merchants complained the carolers were too loud and took up too much space.
Craft and Recipe
'Tis the season to get plastered falalala lalalaaaaaaa While you're watching that "Christmas" movie, how about a nice
Hot Buttered Spiced Cider to keep you warm? Or better yet, have your partner drink it and you keep warm with them in another way. NO, I have NOT started drinking... that requires me to stop. Like I said, 'tis the season!
The craft today is simple. Print out an annoying Christmas image and put on a dart board. Have fun!
Fanfiction
Long title for today's fic. It's fandom is "Devil Wears Prada" and the pairing is Miranda/Andy. "
