How cool is that?

A couple of weeks ago, I participated in the Queen West Art Crawl in
Toronto, in Trinity Bellwoods Park. It wasn't a very successful
weekend. In fact, I didn't make enough sales to cover the cost of the
travel to Toronto and entry to the show, but... But... There was one
thing that happened (that I totally missed out on) that made the weekend
completely worth while (besides getting to spend the weekend with my
lovely girlfriend).

At the end of Sunday's sales day, I was packing up the van for the drive
back to Ottawa and Theresa was guarding all my stuff at the curb. Well,
I was going about my merry way packing everything up, when I noticed her
having a conversation with two gentlemen on bicycles. I returned to her
side just in time to see the cyclists departing, but I thought to
myself... Hey, isn't that Jay Ingram from Discovery Channel's "Daily
Planet"? (http://www.discoverychannel.ca/content/?pid=183)

Theresa told me a story about how one of my prints (Helix II Redux) was
the focus of a discussion that she had had with the cyclists about
nautilus shells, the Fibbonacci sequence, and spirals. Of course, this
only served to emphasize that the guy I thought was Mr. Ingram probably
was, indeed, Mr. Ingram.

I returned to Ottawa, and, because the curiosity was killing me, I fired
off an e-mail to Daily Planet (since I couldn't find contact info for
Jay Ingram online) just asking if that actually was him, etc. etc.
Well, the reply arrived today, and yeah, it was him, so that's kinda
cool! My photography has been viewed and appreciated by a relatively
famous guy! Awesome! Ahahhahah!

Yeah, I'm a bit of a nerdy lame-o. So what? ;)
