I started writing a House review last Tuesday morning for the first time in ages. I didn't get to finish it and now I'm sure as hell not going to but I'm posting it because it's a shame for it to go to waste, I guess.

[review]

I remember back before I was appointed owner of house_cuddy, I used to make running commentary posts for each episode in my journal ( Read more... )

I'll read your review in a sec, but I Just had to say:

1) Aw, sweetie. *hugs*

2) You have the *best* boyfriend ever. I'm not kidding. Just reading about how supportive he is brought tears to my eyes, no joke. (Read it again - he sounds like a keeper.)

3) Excel makes images? Like, seriously?? I thought it was for numbers and graphs. As opposed to something named Illustrator, which couldn't possibly make images, I'm sure. :-P That woman sounds like a real piece of work. Here, let me give her the finger for you.

As to the review, I agree with your 2 and 3 so much. 2 - but it makes me sad that he felt like he had to do it himself - totally. I thought the ep was up and down, but the most heartbreaking part was that it seemed like there was absolutely no one he could ask for or count on for help with this - yes, partially because what he'd done to get there was illegal, but also because, and this ties in with 3, he *knows* how stupid this was. He didn't need to be told, again, what a fucking moron he is. He needed help.

And 3 - I didn't even think to question about Cuddy knowing about the drug - I was so outraged at her reaction. Instead, we saw a callous woman who talked too much before taking any action. EXACTLY. So much this. And I totally agree - the Cuddy I know (or thought I knew) would do exactly what you said - go into lifesaving mode *first*, with her pain for his pain on display, even if she was simultaneously showing her disapproval. And it just continued - House was playing with Rachel in the car, trying (I'm assuming) to make a potentially terrifying situation less scary for her, and all Cuddy can do is bitch about the fact that House spent quality time with her child watching something that may not have been her choice, but was hardly going to turn Rachel into an idiot or a psychopath. House could have been bleeding out in her back seat, and that's what she chooses to focus on.

It didn't make logical sense, and it made even less sense for the character.

Anyhow - you've got a fabulous boyfriend, and hell yeah, write a show for Lisa. ♥
