Oh my god this film is absolutely beautiful.

I am so sure that I have many, many of my rites of passage left, but I've had a lot already. buying my first car, driving on my own for the first time, breaking someones heart, having my heart broken, living on my own for a month, getting my uni acceptance letter, getting drunk for the first time, watching my sister go through the exact stages I did. lining up at Borders with my best friend for HP7 at 5:30 in the morning. going to see p!nk in concert.

My godmother, ever since I started school, would pick me up on, or around my birthday and take me, and my sister when she started school, out for icecream, even though my birthday is in the middle of winter. Now that I am out of school and have my own car, her daughter is starting school next year, but I am already carrying on the tradition - I took her out for icecream on her birthday earlier this year, and it makes me feel like I am having an impact on someone else. All of my cousins and relatives in my family are considerably younger than me, the oldest, after my 15 year old sister, is 11.
