And I don't even necessarily mean the ~rites of passage~ that society has laid out for you, I mean what have been these personal moments for you. I don't know. Phil giving me his tie at the homecoming dance, that was the first dance I ever had a date to, and that's what dates did - gave girls their ties to wear. Getting my very own cell phone. Leaving the country. Taking first place on the dance floor. Getting my first speeding ticket, getting fired. Stepping into the ocean. Riding the New York subway. Losing my virginity. Finishing my first ever video. Taking my driving test. Moving out of the only house I ever knew. The first time I got seriously drunk, in Rachel's basement on UV Blue. Finishing the last Harry Potter book. My first college class.
