DISCUSSION - euthanasia
I'm pulling a response to THIS POST and opening up another one of these discussions.

homosexual derogatory terms, "gay", being politically correct in terms of race, female masturbation, abortion, lesbians, friends with benefits, porn, euthanasia, taxes, fangirling, egg donation, religious feuding, death penalty, virginity, sterilization, etc.

Okay, this wasn't really phrased in the form of a specific question, so I suppose anything goes - what are your thoughts on euthanasia?

I am not against it if it is what the patient AND a majority of the family want. It's tricky because what if part of their condition is not being of sound mind? Or what if they could live, they just don't even want to bother? I take issue with that, with giving up for the sake of it. I think it can be a bit selfish. But if death is imminent and they are in extreme pain and/or their quality of life is so low, horrible, and sad, then I think that euthanasia is a beautiful option. Death hurts the family either way, but at least the ill member suffers less. IDK. I'm not going to pretend to be extremely informed on the topic and I hope to never have to deal with it. :(
