DESPERATELY - a new house/cuddy video
sakdjflksadjga another one that has been on the back burner for awhile. I started this the night of Needle in a Haystack, because, omg squee. ANYWAYS. yes. this was one of those impulsive ideas that just kind of fell into my lap.

Nick came out so much in this video, you guys. I didn't even realize how much he was influencing this until I was about 3/4 done. Good news - I'm over it ATM, so I suppose this was a good outlet. THIS = me & him, to a greater and amplified extent. We obv. aren't this close and I obv. haven't saved his ass in court or taken care of his drug addiction, (we obviously haven't knocked boots either) but you get my point. This is what we feel like, to me. With the black and white stuff and everything. It feels like it moves that way for split seconds sometimes.
soooo... that being said... this is personal lol. I really really hope you can take something from it - these two are so beautiful. & I had a blast, as always. ♥
01.) 0:05 - this is one of my all time favorite quotes. It's from an absolutely gorgeous scene in House of Mirth.
02.) 0:13 - he blinks. I dunno, the whole timing of this scene was perfect already, I didn't have to cut anything to make stuff line up like I normally do. I love it when this happens.
03.) 0:16 - Okay, I'll explain my idea behind this b&w fading now, because you're going to see it a lot. sdjkhfas this is so hard to explain. Hopefully you can just feel what I mean. Okay. These two, sometimes find themselves getting caught up - but only for a second. Because the logical sides of each of them step up and bring them back to color, where everything makes sense and they don't have to be made to feel weak. And they have these moments, when they meet, when life slows down and it's just... i dont know. I hope you'll be able to see what I mean.
04.) 0:31 - she smiles and I die a little.
05.) 0:35 - maybe I'm a loser but I take this cane-throwing really seriously. Like... no one ever touches it. Except him. And Stacy. And to me, that just shows a level of comfort and trust and everything that goes along with that, which is why I put it on "meant to be".
06.) 0:42 - LOOK AT HER LOOK AT HIM. "me wanting you". Look at her face. Just look at it. kthx.
07.) 0:47 - hand on the railing.
08.) 0:56 - i did a double fade here to pull out the "yeah-eah" in the music.
09.) 0:59 - this is obvious im sure but "i keep giving in when i should know better".
10.) 1:10 - I FOUND A PARALLEL. sdlkfja. i love parallels. They both go to each other's doors. ♥
11.) 1:13 - one of my favorite fades - love the color of her coat that comes out of nowhere... and then watch her breathe.
12.) 1:24 - MY FAVORITE PART. and the first part I ever put on this timeline. This is where the b&w idea started. "when you & i were 'you & me' " This is really self explanatory. But I really really love her smile, and just their general rocking movement as it fades.
13.) 1:26 - my other favorite fade. All of that amazing blue just comes out of nowhere. AND LOOK AT THE RUFFLES ON THE BOTTOM OF HER SKIRT THAT I JUST NOTICED THE OTHER DAY.
14.) 1:40 - eyebrow.
15.) 1:43 - LOOK AT HOW BEAUTIFUL SHE IS HERE.
16.) 1:48 - "wanting you". I just had to. Watch her little eyes flutter with that music build-up. ♥
17.) 1:52 - another favorite part. even though it's manipulated.
18.) 1:55 - I LOVE THIS SPIN. Hopefully you've noticed a certain movement to this video by now... IDK, it breathes. I really like the music here and how it matches the fades. AND THE FACE. THE SEDUCTIVE FACE. AND HE CONSIDERS HER.
19.) 2:03 - watch him dart in on that violin. and then watch her tap the window on the other one.
20.) 2:08 - another double fade to pull out the "yeah-eah".
21.) 2:10 - this was meant to act in accordance with the scene before this. that Cortisol stuff - "i keep giving in"
22.) 2:13 - eyelash flutter on the drums.
23.) 2:16 - another instance of "omg, hello glorious blueness". LOOK AT HOW HE LOOKS AT HER.
24.) 2:19 - my favorite shot. her head turn on "strange", and then she sees him and everything slows down. i dont know but i think this particular one shows what i was trying to go for with these. this one just feels like some personification of "fate" to me with them, idk.
25.) 2:25 - this and the shot following are just kind of meant to represent how they both are constantly present in each other's lives.
26.) 2:38 - i just fell in love with the way she rocked. and i just love the movement it created when it was over that shot of him moving behind the bars.
27.) 2:49 - "i keep giving in when i should know better". this one is painfully obvious. she puts herself on the line, and it fades to grey just as she says "he never got the pills."
28.) 2:53 - i really wanted to pull out that plucking in the music.
29.) 2:57 - she looks up at him on "want" and then she fades. i dont know, i really like this part. and she's so pretty.
30.) 3:04 - another pluck i wanted you to notice.
31.) 3:09 - this was so subtle and intimate and it drove me crazy and this is better than any kiss they could manufacture between anyone else. Because she knows he doesn't want hugs. This little gesture was enough. And he noticed. And note to Wilson - sit the fuck down and stop ruining my life.
32.) 3:15 - i take this as her considering telling him how she feels... and then deciding against it. because she knows he knows. and she likes the elaborate games they play.
33.) 3:20 - another quote from House of Mirth. I think this is probably one of the most amazing statements anyone could ever apply to their relationship - it's what it's built on. They both know it's there, we all know it's there, Vogler knows it's there (lol), but they don't say it because THEY DON'T NEED TO. They both know. And neither of them are the type to be that upfront about their feelings like that anyways, and neither of them like receiving them either. So they kind of agree to have this unspoken understanding, and trust, and commitment, that doesn't ever need to be verbalized.
