so, i haven't updated in a long time. haven't really been in the mood. i don't know if i'll update again. whatever. today, i feel like it.
life is a little crazy right now, but orchestra has been holding me together. we had our first concert this afternoon - and it's my orch's 50th anniversary year, so it was extra-special - and we played beethoven 9 and... wow. there were a couple of slightly shaky spots in the 4th movement, mainly with the soloists, but i didn't feel like any of that mattered all that much. anyway, it was pretty much an hour-long adrenaline rush. it was just so nice because, since this is my first year in senior, i've definitely never performed with such a good orchestra before, and that was exciting. we got a standing ovation, and symphony hall was sold out. :-)
basically, beethoven is right. music is right in my life and makes everything ok. and that is why i'm going into music. because, personally, i have to; there is nothing else that i could ever love so much.
