An online friend died last week.  Her real name was Vicki, but I knew her as “Save The Humans” or STH.  She was a member of The Fuselage, a LOST message board.  She was also a member of the DIMPLES group, admirers of James “Sawyer” Ford, who is a character on the show.  She was, of course, so much more than that, but this is how I knew her.

I feel like an idiot for not realizing until this week that the writers of my favorite shows don't get paid when I watch their shows online.  That they would get residuals when the show airs on network television, but not when the network chooses to stream the show on their website is mind-boggling to me.  I do support the writers with their strike ( Read more... )
