your description of how it makes you feel sounds a great deal like CFIDS. Which I, personally, find disturbing. The good news though, is that because I have had CFIDS since I was 9 I have been through every permutation of how to deal with each of these symptoms. I will ruminate on these things and see if I can find a workaround to help you.

:) Don't worry overmuch - fatigue and headaches and disrupted sleep are among the most common reported side effects of MTX, and it's not anywhere near debilitating for me, just annoying and tiresome. I fully expect that these side effects will ease with time, as my body adapts to the meds/dosage and as I adjust my routines and habits to accommodate them. Though I doubt the nausea will ever ease up, I do expect that I'll eventually work out a good system of routine and diet that will make it a lot more bearable, and it's nowhere near as bad as it could be.

for the time being, add more bananas into your diet. Potassium is very helpful in combating fatigue. It also helps a great deal with nausea, and is full of nutrients that help with not starving. I blend them into milk when I can't eat at all, and drink them. The flavor is mild and there isn't a hugely strong scent (compared to other things like toast).

No can do on bananas - latex allergy makes those a biohazard. I take potassium supplements and eat other foods that have it.

I'm here, I'm reading, I care, I hope for the best for you. Dunno really what to do and since I'm not planning to be up yonder for another few weeks at the earliest there's not much I CAN do. But know I'm thinking good thoughts of/for you and recovery and wishing you well.

Thank you for the good wishes. There's nothing particularly for people to do, but social contact is definitely something that boosts my spirits. :)

Here's hoping the symptoms improve in time for SEAF!

I'm still a bit sick, but feel like I'm getting better, I will be at the party on Thursday regardless :-)

Yeah, I'm on it for at least the next 6 weeks or so, and based on the fact that my joint pains improves so much in the days following dosage (I take it once per week), I'm probably on this or something similar for the rest of my life. The good news is that there are other drugs that do the same thing with fewer side effects, so I may be able to eventually transition to those.
