"Don't mind me..."

I've been feelin a little "Eeyore-ish" lately. Slow, bored, depressed and apathetic. Still without a job, it seems like the only thing that I can find to do is come down with random, annoying illnesses (is hypochondriasis contagious?? haha). And thats never any fun. Somehow beyond me I manage to fill up each day, but when I think back on what I've done in the past week I really can't remember doing anything at all. I try and sleep in as late as possible just to waste time during the day. Usually, I love doing nothing. Nothing is great! Maybe this whole "graduation" thing is finally settling in. I have no job, I don't really see my friends anymore, and I won't be going back to Fun St. Mary's this fall. What do I have to look forward to? Work and school. Don't get me wrong, I am extremely excited to really launch into my academic career. I feel surprisingly comfortable at American and I think I will really enjoy classes there.

So what is the problem here? I thought writing it out might uncover whats really bothering me, but I guess not. I think I just need a job. Not only am I not making money, I'm spending money. I want to go out and do stuff, but each time I do, I think about how that money I'm spending isn't coming back. I'm at a point in my life where I need to start saving. Saving for gas, food, school, car insurance, rent, and even retirement. Not that one tiny little part-time job will fix that, but it will quiet the worries for a little bit.

Despite all this, I still feel generally positive about life. Things aren't the best right now, but I would hardly say that things are bad. Things are just...slightly stale. The only direction I can go from here is up.
