Chelsea Heights Rocks

Thanks to all the kids and teachers who made my visit to Chelsea Heights School in Atlantic City, NJ so special. I grew up not too far away and some of my high school friends lived in Chelsea Heights. Walking into the school, you get a real sense of family. Want proof?

It was Read Across America Day and I was honored to be part of the celebration. check out these great Bulletin Boards:

The kids made some signs to welcome me. How sweet!

I was thrilled to receive this from the kids...how thoughtful!

Here is one of the twenty children I got to eat lunch with. While the pizza was yummy, talking with these kids trumped all! This little one LOVES to read and seems to know a lot about books. I have no doubt great things are in store for this smart cookie!

My favorite moment of the day was when I was coming out of a presentation at the same time kids were walking back from library class. Do you remember getting a book that you HAD to open up and start reading immediately? Sweet!

Thanks for a special day. Chelsea Heights School Rocks!
