GPA and art class. Sadly, true story.

GPA: 3.53

Could be worse. Got great grades in the languages and history, not so good in chemistry and calculus (though considering I'm a year advanced in the latter...). Now if only I can get into an actual art class, thank you you moronic schedule monkeys. Most of my conversations with the Schedule Monkeys go like this ( Read more... )

Just hold out. The academic director at my boarding school was one of the math teachers, and was quite known for her "you must take math" attitude. And I managed to do an entire semester without math with a big smile and 'I need to drop because I just don't have room for it. I'll pick up with Differential next semester."

...and, of course, my mother got my case for not somehow managing to do no math the whole year, since it was wrong of me to take Differential would I couldn't do better than a B, but that's another issue.

Nice. Unfortunately, this is the person who writes up my schedules, and I really can't afford to get in trouble for skipping class again - so my math teacher and I will be having a long talk about what I'll do with my three study halls this year. I suspect next year will involve me running around the building and plotting to kill the Monkey again.

Differential?

Differential Calculus. Actually, we usually said "Diff," but I thought I was being more clear.

Ah, I see. We just have different terms for it, I think. I wouldn't know, as my C+ in math can tell you I don't ever pay attention in that class.

I may have to (certainly not my father, who is very like the Schedule Monkey in that he's all about taking math) - my mother is very supportive of me getting into the arts. And good for your Mama.
