Oh yes. I read tabloids on line. It's because I HAVE to know who's cheating on whom among local celebrities and whose cellulite is showing the most. Today I read a story that fits so well my LJ tag "only-in-Romania" that I had to post about it. An.... exorcism?
And I thought my Baptist family was crazy.

There was a case, a couple of years ago, with a nun exorcised by a semi-fake priest here till she died. They kept her tied to a cross for a few days, without food or anything and the poor girl died. The priest is now in prison and so are the other nuns that helped him. But he keeps appealing and saying it's the doctors' fault. The victim has been just released from the hospital before they 'exorcised' her.

I don't know how popular exorcism is here, this porn star story is the second one I read, after that crime years ago. It's still freakish to think this must be going on "underground" probably all the time. Idiots often mistake mental diseases with possession.

But then, there are sects of baptists here that believe that you should handle venomous snakes during the service (the practice is outlawed all but in one state I think).

I saw a documentary on the snake people on Discovery I think. Weird, weird people.
