Harry really is in a pretty good place post OotP
I finished my audio CD of OotP today and popped in the first CD of HBP. It really is amazing how together he is w/ everything. After reading fanfics you would think he was in the blackest of black states of depression desperatly in need of a Zoloft prescription.
And actually had Lupin, Tonks, and Mad-Eye not shown up to "talk" to the Dursley's along w/ Mr. Weasley when he got off the train, there is a pretty decent chance he was going to wallow in his own grief (I feel bad saying self pity b/c honestly the kid has more right then most to wallow) and thoughts. But he didn't. He is a really neat character.
