I found black jeans! I'd given up. And they are plain black, no weird 'fashionable' faded bits or other ugly adornments. And I wasn't even looking for them. I was in fact there to look at a specific dress for the wedding next weekend, but that was a no go. Lovely from the front but not flattering across the back. But I got pants.
