I think Ginny (in her narrow minded way) has given Harry the true clue. After a war people want a hero. People want a leader. Someone in whose strength you can lean because you are lacking your own strength. Not a confused 18 boy who only wants to live his life in peace. *sighs*

Harry, love, desperation can be horrible, but dying is never the answer.

That's exactly the point in Gnny's speech. She is going to be really important in how some situations develop in this universe, and this was the first.

Thanks for reading!

Just amazing, my dear girl!
Unbelievably moving.
I've been on that precipice myself a time or two, and it's like you've ripped the feelings from my heart and put them upon a page.

Beautiful.

Thanks for the compliments, dear.

*hugs* I'm so sorry you felt that bad sometime in your life. It's horrible to be there, but I can only write about what I've experienced... Terrible, but true, and in that truth remains what's wonderful.

Oh. *wibbles*

I feel so sorry for Harry, having to live his whole life based on other people's expectations, and still not free of that now that the war is over. *sighs*

I don't think Ginny realises just how prejudiced and self-focused she's being, I just wish she would open her mind up a little...

Ginny just thinks that Harry should be fine now that he doesn't have any madman to vanquish. She is being selfish without noticing, and she will be so many other times in this universe. I just think that Ginny, not having killed ever in her life, doesn't know how Harry feels, how deep his regret is.

Thanks for reading!

Ginny is selfish, but she is also the voice of the wizarding world. They need a hero, and she can't understand why Harry doesn't feel like his duty is to please everyone else but himself.

Thanks for reading!

How dare Ginny imply that all the people who died did so for Harry??? They died to make the Wizarding World a better place, and to rid the world of a great evil. To put the blame for their deaths on Harry is reason enough for him to leave her and never come back.
And I would think his friends would like Harry to be happy now, no matter what that takes. Hasn't he done enough for everyone all his life?

I like you conflicted and depressed Harry. I can't picture him as anything else after the final battle. Have you been reading fourth_rose's Not in the Hands of Boys? She has a similarly complex and confused Harry...

Right now, Harry's too emotional to understand that she is being selfish. But she also has too much to bear at this moment in her life - her brother has died, adn it's easier to put the blame on a person than on a cause. Blaming it on someone you can yell at is always easier.

No, I haven't read it, but I've heard about it. It's a shame that I don't have time anymore to read...
