Why this has been an awesome day, or more accurately, a day full of small, nice events:
-Finally got my tickets to Greece for the February vacation! Yay!
-Discovered a really good new class at the Institut Catholique on the history of contemporary international relations (since 1945), with a teacher who also teaches at Sciences Po. She even is being considerate of us poor, stupid Americans- but I don't think I need it so much anymore. Also told a fairly hot boy that Elizabeth and I would help him with his English.
-First art class! I haven't forgotten how to use charcoal, and the teacher, after giving me a long lecture about planning, said I'd improved on my last try. Although I have absolutely no idea how to do oil painting... maybe Christine will consent to help me...
-Delicious chocolate raspberry tart for, effectively, 50 centimes.
-Debate about Harry Potter with Christine, while walking through Pere Lachaise- finally a geeky conversation.
-Long long letter from Gideon. (No, nothing is happening. I swear.)
-Reading "A Hundred Years of Solitude" in the living room in the comfy chair with Jean-Marie and Sophie, listening to heavenly choral music for an hour.
-My two favorite Stephvens (Colbert and Pinker) on one show together on last night's Colbert Report. Awesome.
