I had a pretty bad experience at work tonight, and I originally wanted to post this as a bulletin, but decided against it so I wouldn't get any backlash at work. I do plan on telling this to all my fellow associates personally. I put it here for venting purposes only.
Just a heads up..two of the supervisors are trying to catch people not logging off. Tonight one sent me on lunch, caught me not logging off, and took 150 dollars out of my drawer while I was gone. When I came up 150 short, they accused me in front of the rest of the retail associates that I had either stolen the money myself or had been careless with my register and it had been stolen. They told me that I would be suspended and probably fired, and continued this harassment for about 15 minutes before they finally pulled out the hidden money and told me that this entire scheme was " to teach me something". Finally, they insisted that I not tell anyone about this because they wanted to continue "catch" people and try to scare them into logging off. Personally, I thought it was very hurtful and completely counterproductive. Threatening someones job and harassing them to the point of tears should not be used as a training tool, and I'm writing this to make sure it doesn't happen again.
