[Musical Composition; Measure 6]

We've stopped in Fargo again, after quite a few hours' drive. Badou, Haine, and Jasper accompanied Carlisle in his van this time and I believe I spent most of the ride listening to Jasper call me a yellow belly in his mind.

Until, that is, I decided that following the speed limit was really more Carlisle's inclination than my own and we left them behind in our dust. They caught up to us eventually.

So our trip to New York was considered a success, I believe, a few things notwithstanding.

  • Visit the Empire State building? Check.
  • See a Broadway play? Check.
  • Manage to sit through the entire play without any ... happenings? Well if Badou hadn't shot at the ceiling and caused a pandemonium.
  • Roam about Manhattan without calling attention to ourselves? We'll give this a half check.
  • Swim in embarrassing trunks? Check.
  • Pay for the chandelier Haine and Badou broke whilst swinging? Check.
  • Battle beds? Mine was the clear winner here.
  • Force Badou to wear a suit to Broadway and Club 21? Check and check, thank you Esme.
  • Manage to stay in Club 21 for over 20 minutes without calling attention to ourselves, Badou's lack of a suit jacket at that point, and resist the temptation to ask the waitress if they served mountain lion? 19 minutes. So close.
  • Attempt to convince Matt and Rukia to come back with us to Forks? Attempted, at least.
  • Make it back into both cars with all limbs intact and a pair of Disney Cars trunks strangely missing? Done and done.

I was fitted for my wedding suit as well. Quite productive on the whole if I say so myself.

So now to wait out the night in Fargo. On the bright side, the owner of this hotel has grown quite fond of Esme and, I believe, Carlisle's credit card. On the downside, I do believe there is a hole in the hotel wall that oddly resembles the shape of my fist. Curious.
