It's been a weekend. Not too terribly much happened but I feel obligated to discuss, nonetheless.
Made a mistake and saw The Exorcism of Emily Rose on Friday with the Big Lug and some of his friends. The movie freaked me out so badly that I slept on my couch on Friday and Saturday nights with all of the lights in my apartment on and the tv

:) I know the feeling. After seeing The Sixth Sense I slept with a night light for a month.
You're almost making me consider re-considering Lost. I started watching halfway through the season - actually Hung!Charlie was the first scene I saw and I spent it yelling at Jack for doing CPR wrong - and never got fully hooked. I think largely because Jack and Kate do not interest me at all and liking Hurley and Charlie and sometimes Michael and Locke just haven't been enough to hook me - or relieve my frustration at having them never ever answer any questions.
So, Rick Warden finally showed up and he was great. Quintus Pompey is a demented little fuck and it's wonderful

I think seeing Lost from the beginning was very helpful for me. The first few episodes are a great hook and make you care about a lot of the characters. You had the great 'luck' of catching some of the most boring episodes which unfortunately aired right in the middle of the season.
You know, I've never really needed answers to my TV questions. This is probably due to the fact that The X-Files was the major TV show of my adolescence, my first internet fandom. If I care about the characters I'll continue on the journey, no matter how few answers I'm given. Of course, if they deign to provide answers they should at least make sense which is why I refuse to admit that the last two seasons of The X-Files even exist. =D
Which is all by way of saying that I think you should watch Lost but I would understand if you didn't.
I'm taping Rome for you, don't worry. I'll send you the tape as soon as it's full. By the way, that ( ... )

I don't need ALL the answers, but I want some. And I'm also the only geek I know who pretty much has never seen The X-Files so I haven't been conditioned like you.
I will probably watch Lost if I'm at home when it's on, out of habit.

oh wow! Are you serious???? wow wow wow
has anyone ever told you that you are awesome???

Not a problem! To be honest, I love taping things for people. It's easy, just set the VCR and go, and it makes me happy. =D

I finished my DVDjunkie run though of Lost this weekend. Again, you are much better about verbalizing why it's good (and what's wrong with it in places). I also cried over Hanged!Charlie and then again over Poor Dead Boone and the launching of the raft. *is a sap*

Just you wait, Naveen and Terry will be back next year and will show the Emmys what for.
*sniffle* I'm coming up on Poor Dead Boone awfully fast. I'm going to be a mess by the time it's all over.
You know, we need a Poor, Dead Boone icon. But not one of his corpse, one of him being all pretty and stuff.

I had trouble picking, so I just made a bunch.

I just watched that episode yesterday, with my sister and her husband, neither of whom had watched the show until I got my DVDs. Neither of them knows or cares who Dom Monaghan is, but by the time he and Claire were abducted they were both freaking out. "They can't kill Charlie, he's too cute!" I had to bite back the impulse to laugh, but I still did nearly cry at the actual scene. It really is such a powerfully moving moment.

This is the version of Batman/Bruce Wayne that I first fell in love with, way back in the day when the animated series was on the air. Christian Bale was wonderful and I'm sure the comics are great but this is my Batman.
I share your Bruce/Diana shame. They're just so ... guh. no words.
