So, tonight I let the Pup go on a little constitutional. See, all I have to do is let him out the back door and he will hop over the fence and go around the neighbourhood and I won't have to get off my ass. It's a win-win situation. When he starts to howl I let him in the front door and it's all good. I don't usually let my dog roam loose but it's cold out there and he was ever so bored. *pets Pup*

Something must have spooked him because when I went out to get him he came tearing to the door, jumping up onto the porch and almost sliding off of it (it's kinda icy). Then he sat next to me on the couch and wouldn't leave me alone. I had to pet and pet and pet him until I was sure he didn't remember why he was scared only that he was and he needed extra love and attention. He's much more subdued now.

Hmmm, maybe I should be walking him more but, well, see above re: cold. *shivers*

OMG, you guys, I spent a couple hours at Starbucks today writing a post-Hogwarts Ron in Africa story that will end up with tiny little BtVS crossover-y stuff. Why is it that whenever I'm inspired to write fic I only want to write the crazy stuff? I'll never, ever be a normal girl.

Which reminds me, when I was surfing today I saw someone pleading with Peter Pan to come take her away to Never Never Land even though she was too old and there are no Lost Girls (because J.M. Barrie says girls are too sensible, etc. etc.) and I had an epiphany. There may not be any Lost Girls but there are Lost Women. There's a group of them on the other side of the island and they were all normal girls but then something happened when they were older and they just didn't want to deal with it anymore so they disappeared and ran away to Never Never Land where they get to fight pirates or become pirates and swim with the mermaids and go hunting with Tigerlily and mother all of the Lost Boys but not too much because they're very busy doing other things and the Lost Boys like a little love now and again but they're much too forgetful to remember that they like it on a regular basis. Wouldn't that just be the coolest?

Dangit, have to go pick up the Mum. And put on a sweater because it is teh coldest.

ETA: The Pup has just come and hid under my feet. I don't know what the Wrestler is doing but it must be awfully scary.
