Two Thursdays ago I had to miss my chemo because the blood test revealed my platelets were too low. The good news was that my white blood count was fine. So the immune system is OK. Platelets affect the clotting. Way too dangerous if I get a bump on the head. So they gave me two units of blood

I was supposed to have chemo yesterday. The blood test revealed my blood counts were too low. Try again next week. I have very little extra energy. But I eat meat or fish every day. And lots of beans and lentils as well.
But I haven't exercised. So -- back on the bicycle. Short rides around the block.
Next Monday is the last chemo. If I keep the port-a-cath in the top of my chest I will need to visit the hospital every 4-6 weeks to have it flushed. That's OK.
PET scan and CT scan are scheduled for 22 January. Those tests will allow my oncologist to plan any further treatments.
The end of cycle 5! blood tests showed that my neutrophils were down and this means my resistance to colds and flu is down. Kid J has a cold as has his gf. So far so good

It went well. The doctor is hoping the chemo will reduce the size of the small tumor which is located in the pelvis near the vagina. also hoping that the cancer in the lymph nodes will be less

The PET scan showed that the lesions on my peritoneum, the sac that surrounds the abdominal organs, are nearly all gone. Cancer markers are down to 15. There is still some cancer in the lymph nodes. And there is a small tumour
