[ Godric's face appears on the screen and, for a moment, he looks a little confused. Then he sets it down, peering at the camera with slight nerves. He wasn't used to the technology of the future - give him swords and magic over these things any day. Still, he has things he needs to talk about, so he would have to learn to adapt. ]

I would like to ( Read more... )

There is no magic where I'm from... Not that I know of, at least! Science is my 'magic'. I wouldn't even be alive if it wasn't for science, so it's definitely a kind of 'magic' to me, even if others don't think so...

You're from 1014 right? So you don't know about all the things that science can do now! Or even about things like gravity and other laws of science, since those all came later.

I am sure that some would see Science as a form of magic. It works in strange ways.

[ He looks a little confused. ]

I have no knowledge of these things, you are correct.

The ways aren't so strange when you know more about the laws of nature.

Gravity! Gravity is the force of attraction between masses. It's what makes things fall and keeps the air and the atmosphere on the Earth.

There are mathematical equations you can use to predict speed and potential energy from gravity, too. And then there are other physics equations and laws that are really neat! Like Conservation of Mass and Energy, and Conservation of Momentum! You can figure out the time it will take for something at x mass and speed to run into another thing with y mass and speed.

[He is ... kind of a physics genius without meaning to be. oh, Air Treck. /)___(\]

... I see.

[ He totally doesn't. ]

It seems like quite the difficult process.

omg got distracted by icons aosidgh sorry ;; skyglide February 2 2011, 00:36:19 UTC
Nn! Not really! If you know the equations and what they mean, you just have to fill in the numbers and solve for the answer!

that's okay!! lionshollow February 2 2011, 01:32:53 UTC
I believe that style of education is in a future I may not live to be blessed with.

Un! Yeah! This stuff is from like the 1800s or something.

Much farther in the future, then!

Yeah! And also... very far in the past, too...

It seems like a rather confusing scenario.

I think just being in, ah... 'Another world' is confusing enough! So things like differing years can seem... Less confusing in comparison.

I suppose you are correct.

[ He smiles softly. ]

Perhaps you could educate me in your... Sciences in days to come?

[...!!! He loves teaching people stuff. *^*]

Un! Yeah! Onii.. Papa made sure to teach me lots of things when I was small, so I can tell you about tons of stuff! I'm mostly just good at language and physics though.

I am sure anything could could teach me would be marvellous. You have my thanks.

Let's do a trade, okay? I can teach you about my kind of 'magic' and you can teach me about yours!

I think that is an accceptable trade. I look forward to teaching you what I can.
