For those who don't know, my sis-in-law is a school teacher. While grading papers tonight, she shared this with us:
Problem 15(extra credit):
Describe a real life situation in which negative numbers are used. Write your own word problem involving these negative numbers and division.
Answer (from a 12 yr old girl):
Ross borrowed $1000.00 from the mafia. He has to pay them $200.00 each month. How many months will it take him to pay them back before he gets shot and killed?
Amusing side note - Ross is a fellow student.
