“He doesn’t love you, my dear,” Narcissa says at the engagement party, ladling punch from a bowl that probably cost more than Pansy’s house.
“I know how he feels,” Pansy insists.
“You’re courting a broken heart.”
Pansy’s eyes narrow. She thinks about the rumors that Longbottom survived his last encounter with Bellatrix because he had inside information that only the family would know.
Pansy is sure she wants to marry Draco. She’s just not sure she wants to be a Malfoy.
But across the room, Draco catches her eye, lifts a brow just so.
I know exactly how he feels.
