Today I was thinking about Snakes On A Plane. I have a niggling desire to watch it again, even though I know it would ruin the beauty of the opening night theatre experience I had with it. What a night. It was pure magic, let me tell you ( Read more... )

blah blah, rant

the orange mocha frap is pretty tasty.... but omg, I think there's enough sugar in it to send you into a coma 8D;

There are golden seasons? eh? I love the later seasons... I think I am in the minority...

As far as I understand it, you have to look like you're the one being benevolent, and, above all, like you're entitled to have their undivided attention. Always be polite and friendly, yes, but nevertheless. It's like walking into one of those shops with doormen (think Pretty Woman). A lot of people think it's about how you're dressed, but it really, really isn't at all. The key is to know that you have every right to be there. You can be wearing ratty jeans and a t-shirt for all it matters, and the sales girls will still fawn over you as though you were wearing mink.

So basically, it's all about attitude! Believe you're entitled to their undivided attention and you will get it. ^^

Hmm, I wonder if you might be right... maybe I am too retiring? I need to assert myself while still being polite? Urgh... That's what I thought I was doing at a restaurant the other day, and the waitress turned into a total #$*&% on me. T___T Siiigh, I guess I haven't perfected it yet.

Stores with those people in them scare the crap outta me... and they always look at you with utter disgust when you walk into them here, unless you are dressed in designer digs already. ^^;

starbucks... is a love hate relationship with them X_x I love their greentea frap BUT I hate it when most of the time they make it wrong lol~ I feel like I'm speaking a foreign language with them and unlike you I get pissed off ^^; If I get crap service they gonna hear it... Even if I let them know three times how I want my drink... One time I walked out with my drink and OMG it had mint in it???!?! another time had chocolate taste??!?! Is very rare to see me say omg this is good!

When I go with a friend of mine is just like when you go with your mom?!? what's up with that ^^;? but, I think is not us is just their service.

The drink itself is not hard to make. It is green tea goo they pour out of a box over ice and blend. The wierd tastes you get are simply because they didn't wash the blender out well enough after they used it last. Which they can get away with between coffee flavored drinks because they're so strong anyway.

I know its matcha powder with some type of milk, ice and blend it all together. Maybe that's it? and I bet it happens all the time.. So, they didn't wash it good enough but, even went the extra mile and gave me a treat of actual chocolate & mint chips...

Yeah, isn't it some powder mixed with some random like, melon syrup and then blended? It looks pretty gross if you watch them make it, actually... ^^;

I am beginning to think avoidance might be my cure!

Oh the Spike dreams need to be recurring, let me tell you. Mmm.

<3 I am hoping... Now if only the weather would stop reflecting the disordered state of my brain. Just one day of sun without intermittent storming down rain would be magnificent about now...

You want good customer service stories? Hmm... Well, I can commiserate. Becki and I go to Starbucks, a lot. So, statistically speaking, the drinks have been made wrong more than a handful of times. On one memorable occasion they gave me a vanilla latte with...no vanilla in it. I was headed to the other side of Portland that day, but I couldn't drink my latte without vanilla, so I went back (a ten minute drive) and pointed out the error. Instead of re-making the drink, they just pumped four shots of vanilla in there and stirred it up. So it was still gross. And the whole time, they acted like it was my fault, didn't apologize sincerely, and certainly didn't give me a drink voucher. I was really upset because that's a store at which I normally got excellent service. I almost wrote in and complained ( ... )

Okay... wow. You should have written in on that vanilla one! Yikes. You can't just pump more stuff into a drink and fix it... it doesn't work that way. There's something essential that goes on in the initial process that is required for it to taste good! My favourite bubble tea place did that to me about a week ago. I haven't been back. =/

Hmm, at least I know it's not how you're dressed. Maybe it's how busy they are/have been, and what kind of moods the baristas themselves are in... >_>;
