I'm sure all of you are curious about events that transpired several days ago. In the interest of free exchange, I see no reason not to hide these events, as they affect both DATS members and a civilian

I am going to kill her.
Thank you for the information. Lilithmon may be using an aliasing mechanism that allows her to project herself to these places. If one can find the source of the projection, either through tracking the signal or triangulation if the signal was bounced, one may be able to find Lilithmon herself.
It's worth a thought if this happens again, at any rate.

I was about to say the same thing. Whether you call it science or magic, everything follows specific laws. It's determining those laws that distinguishes them.
Re: [strikes are thoughts]grissom1linerMarch 29 2009, 20:14:13 UTC
Even some of the most accepted scientific laws conflict with each other. When Mendel discovered the laws of genetics, they were contradicted by discoveries of incomplete dominance and codominate alleles, as well as DNA recombination and many other things. Now, we recognize that there are non-Mendelian models of inheritence as well. I see no reason that our understandings of science and magic can place them so diametrically opposite one another. To mangle a line from Shakespeare, "there are more things in heaven and earth than are dreamt of in our philosophies."

Oh, quite so, quite so, I was simply making a joke.
Magic is just as much of a science as quantum physics. It just happens to be a science that turns the other laws of science on its head.
Of course, I'm not much of a physicist myself, so I couldn't even begin to explain the why it changes THOSE things... But if you're at all interested, I would be more than happy to discuss the laws and theories of spellcraft themselves with you at a later time. :)

Even the remains of something can prove enlightening, if you know what to look for. :) Chin up, sir. I've every confidence that we'll find something, with time.

I've tried every scientific method I know of to trace the Demon Kings' transportation signal, alone.
There's something about it, whether it be the restrictions imposed upon us by Yggdrasil that limits our ability to manipulate data in this world, or ... ugh "magic," that prevents us from accurately doing this.
DATS has been attempting to do this since the time both Daemon AND Lillithmon appeared in the Royal Base without us detecting it in the slightest bit... and that was nearly a year ago.

It may simply be a form of technology neither you or people in your time and place are familiar with. One cannot know everything about the world, even one as alien as this.

As a scientist I'm reluctant to go this route, but... perhaps this is some kind of digital world mysticism at work...

Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic.
Given that this is the Digital World, it is likely a form of technology with which we are not yet familiar.

I know that you have some capable mages on your staff, but if you need more, my guild it at your disposal.

Projection, though... is a new one.

Were that the case, I'd have stopped searching for a method a long time ago.
