‘Frankenstein’ is a work which I have in fact I have read when I was fourteen.I was interested  Unfortunately for me, I had read it directly after I had finished reading the fast paced ‘Dracula’. ‘Frankenstein’, I found was a more sedate affair in my opinion. Well, am finally at this point. Finished up with lectures this week. Yes, I do have assignments to submit on Moodle, but I don’t mind that so much as other than that being the factor to sort out, I am finished with travelling up to Dublin for lectures. Well have been very busy the past couple of weeks. Only sort of getting a bit of a breather now (of sorts, still busy with academic assignments and presentations).

Well what a busy week it was, however I knew that it would be. I headed up to Dublin early on Monday to see ‘Big Maggie’ in the Gaiety theatre. It was absolutely brilliant, stayed up that night in a nearby hotel. I did however get a bout of food poisoning from chicken I had before I left for the show, but that was the only low point thankfully.

Christmas is coming and I still have to hit the shops for presents for people. What's more, it's bloody freezing here. I swear, was in Dublin for to hand in my assignment yesterday and the sleet and snow that fell were brutal(it didn't stick on the ground, but still. Well life has some interesting bends in the road.
I have started my two year MA in Information and Library Management in DBS. A bit of a shock for me as I had planned on going into the course in a year after doing my HDip.
Am really thrilled with the course though, it's absolutly brillo. Very enjoyable. Might go and do my MA in History afterwards( ( Read more... )

Went to Dublin early in the morning and went shopping(for college and for Christmas). Got the last Doctor Who storybook and annual(have already got my calendar). Didn't get my hands on some of the required reading for my course(will have to go online to buy them), Got my hands on one of the books that I need for my dissertation, need to order the ( Read more... )

Pretty much sums up my week:

Went to Dublin on Tuesday and stayed for two nights because we went to the blistering Metallica gig in Marlay Park. We went to the Hugh Lane gallery to the 100 year exhibition. Was quite a treat for me. Got some of my college books up there also and some stuff in Asha.

Went up to Dublin shopping on Friday. Went up by train. Just spent the day up there, had a great time. Came down to Carlow today for Existentialist Lit at 3:30. Went and dropped off my bags and went shopping for groceries. Then went to Pizza Hut. Make sure to get Radio Times this week, the lovely Doctor is in p.14-16.
