I feel like I should give an Incredible Cheese Ahead! warning, or something. Family Album is a Danielle Steele novel, and was adapted into a television movie for the Lifetime women's network. I'm pretty sure that's all the warning you need. XD
01: Thayer family at Christmas.
The kids are introduced, and Greg gets his best friend John to think about moving in with Lionel, who needs a new roommate. Later, Lionel's working for his father's movie's PR department, and gets some advice after being turned down.
02: John and Lionel.
Lionel tries to get John not to move in, but John tells Lionel he's gay, and has suspected Lionel always was as well. John then tells Lionel his story about coming out to his own parents.
03: Lionel comes out to Faye.
Faye: It's just that I don't want you to be unhappy, or end up alone. You won't have a family, Lionel.
Lionel: I thought I had one already.
Faye: Oh, you do. Just...I want you to know I love you.
Mom's the first to know, and although she's a bit shocked, she agrees to keep it from Lionel's father.
04: Ward finds out.
After seeing John and Lionel being kinda close, Ward does the totally insensitive thing and causes Lionel to storm off. He later stops off at Lionel's apartment to apologize, only to find Lionel and John cuddling on the couch. He rushes in and sort of tries to kill John, then tells Lionel to never go back home again.
05: Greg leaves for boot camp.
Greg, after joining the military, is called off to fight in Cambodia. The family gives him a tearful goodbye, and Ward is still a jackass to Lionel.
06. Greg's funeral.
Lionel: And it's not that John wouldn't understand, cause the thing is, he does. He never asked me to choose between him and my family.
The family attends Greg's funeral, minus John, who Ward doesn't let attend even though he and Greg were best friends. Ward tries to apologize to Lionel, although it's not enough.
07: Oscar night.
Faye's up for an oscar, and there's mini family drama. Lionel just looks cute in a tux.
08: Happy family once again.
During Easter, Ward finally gets over his issues and invites Lionel and John to join the family, finally accepting John.
09: The Accident.
Lionel and John end up in a car crash, and John doesn't make it. Lionel's devastated, but eventually picks himself back up. He comes into the game the morning after the gallery opening at the end of this clip.
10: Argument with Anne.
Lionel figures out his little sister is dating her best friend's father, and they get into an argument about it.
11: Visiting an old friend.
After hearing about Paul's drug addiction/break down, Lionel visits him, and very cutely offers his friendship and maybe a date.
12. The entire extended family.
It's the happy family album ending as everyone gets together for a picture.
