Letter #1 - Friday, June 3, 2011

I'm not really sure why I'm doing this. It's not like you'll ever be able to read it. I was just thinking about what Selphie said back then, about how to make sure we don't lose more of our memories - that we should all keep a diary. I don't know how to do something like that. And even if I did, there's no point in just writing down the stuff that's happening now.
I'd rather talk to you.
I'm not used to writing letters, either, but this is the best I can do right now.
I'm not sure how long it's been since time compression. I don't know how long it'll take for me to get back. I thought for a while that maybe I should give up my GF to make sure that I don't forget any more, since I'm probably going to be here for a while, but I don't think I can afford to. The past couple of days here it's been almost like it was in Esthar after the Lunar Cry - monsters everywhere. Seems like it's finally clearing up now, but from what I've heard, this kind of thing happens pretty regularly around here.
I have to stay alive so that I can get back.

It seems like the more time passes, the farther away I get from where I'm supposed to be. But no matter what, I'll meet you in the place that we promised. Even if I forget everything else, I won't forget about that.
For now, I'm doing all right on my own. I'm working - security, mostly. It's boring, but it's steady pay, and I guess it's not so bad. Except for when things get weird - which is about every couple of weeks - there's not much else to do. I've picked up a couple of freelance jobs, but they're harder to come by around here.
This week's been busy, at least. The monsters the past day or so were a lot like the T-Rexaur from the Garden training center. Kind of a pain, since there were so many. I still haven't heard anything about where they came from.
None of this is important. I'll write some more once I've thought some more about what I want to make sure I remember.
