it's been a long time
alright, i just realized that i haven't updated this thing since may, and that's basically ridiculous....so i figured i'd give y'all a basic run-down of my summer:
i've been keeping busy with work (still at fricking fantastic express.) and hanging out with my friends around here. i've become kinda a bar whore...i go to bootleggers at LEAST 3 or 4 nights a week. it's like my cheers, everybody knows my name. in fact, the dj yells my name every time i walk in. who wouldn't love that?? it's funny though that my favorite hangout
is a bar, considering that i never have more than one drink, if i have one at all...weird. other than going to the bar, i've gone to alot of movies, the taste of chicago, a few white sox and cubs games, and the beach allllll the time :) it's been an entertaining summer so far.
i've been missing my friends who aren't in chicago very much lately, but luckily i've gotten to see most of them over the course of the summer...
--nicole, liz, amy, bill, sarah, megan c., and megan a. came in from out of town for my birthday (which was crazy and fun) so i got to see all of them but not for long enough :(.
--in early june i went home for kelly's graduation and had some good family time with my parents, kelly, and my grandma.
--then, danit came to see me in june and we had a weekend of wife goodness, it is SO SO SO good when she is around b/c when she isn't i feel like im missing a leg or something, ha.
--whitney came to see me awhile back too, and we had some fun at the beach and the bar and hanging out, i can't wait for school to start so we can do that all the time!
--let's see....my family came down for the fourth of july and that was awesome, they are my favorite people ever :) we at at the melting pot (a fondue restaurant) one night...and holy crap that place is amazing. go there. now.
--i just got back from boston earlier this week, and that was the best trip so far this summer. i kinda just got to hang out with all my old friends...saw lisa and kach and mikey, and even jesse came down from vermont to hang out, a little shopping, a little eating, it was all great although every time i go i get SO sad b/c i miss living there so much.
--august is gonna be busy, b/c kelly is staying with my for the first two weeks of the month b/c she has a dance thing in town and i want some sister bonding time before she goes to school.
--then i get to see a few of my boston friends again in a couple weeks when the zeta people come through chicago on their way to texas, so i'm excited about that!
--and right after they stop by, my friend bill from omaha is coming to see me for a few days, so that will be really awesome...my apartment is gonna be full! ha.
--then...in mid-august is the big trip......i'm going with my family to LAS VEGAS! kelly is going to school at UNLV, so we are all going down to help her move in and turn it into a vacation. i am so freaking excited b/c i've always wanted to go to vegas...woot. i'm gonna shop and gamble and watch shows and lay by the pool and it's going to be amazing. yay!
--then when i get back from vegas, school is gonna start...and i'm not gonna lie i'm pretty excited for it to start again b/c it means alot of my friends are coming back to town, and i won't be quite so bored all the time :) so that's that.
in other news: my headache is still a huge problem. it's been over 8 months that i've had this thing...i've gone to another doctor, and i have am MRI tomorrow, so we'll see how that turns out. i'm really scared about it, i just have a bad feeling. i almost wish it could tell us something, b/c i am so tired of not knowing what is wrong with me. there are so many days when i can barely get up in the morning, and so many times that i don't go out at night b/c i hurt so much. and i'm tired of it :(
also...i'm going to see WICKED on tuesday with brooke!!!! her and susie got me tickets for my birthday....so sweet! i can't wait, i've been dying to see this show since i first heard of it!!!!! YAY.
i have the usual boy drama going on...don't really wanna get into it on here but it's kinda interesting and if anyone cares to know, you can just ask me.
i do believe that's all for now...if i come up with more, i'll write again. i'm gonna try to write more though. promise.
