Chocolate, Canadians, and More
Hello all! I've had a lovely past couple of days =) I was in the best mood ever all day yesterday. Just sunshiny and giddy.
The sunburn? Gone! My chest is still pink, but the pain has gone. Now, I await peeling. Which started on my face yesterday. Looks miiiighty cool.
I filled out a job application at Parker and went to turn it in yesterday. I forgot that Sarah V. works there and was pleasantly surprised to see her. The lady looked over my appl. and said it'd be a couple weeks (they're in the middle of moving and closed right now), but she'd call me. So I think I have the job- which rocks, because it may not be the most exciting with the best pay, but the hours are great, and when carrying two jobs, I need one like that.
After I dropped off my app., I ran to the store, then to pick up Matt from school, where Dan and like 20 baseball people were hitting. Said hey to them, ran home to get ready.
Dan and I went to P. F. Chang's last night for our 15 day late 2 year anniversary. Dinner was awesome, we had many musings about improving the kitchen entrance (long story). Got a great wall of chocolate to go... there was no getting that thing down while we were there.
Came back to his house and watched TV for a bit. He remembered awhile ago that I had mentioned that I didn't have a nice cross necklace because I had lost the only one I had, which is impressive because I don't even remember saying it. Anyways, he got me the most beautiful cross necklace ever. I looove it!! He was excited about his gift, too. I'm getting him an iPod shuffle because he was telling me earlier this year that he didn't have anything to listen to on baseball trips. When you spend half of the semester on a bus, that's a problem. The entire baseball team thanks me... Dan's lack of listening material caused him to take musical selections into his own hands. He has a friend who can actually sing. They sang together. Tyler is good... Dan, well, we love him =)
One of his teammates from Canada is playing in a SC summer league and driving down today. Apparently, it's a long way from Canada to SC, so he's stopping in Memphis. Dukay was supposed to take him in for the night, but he's going to a tournament with Tolivar, leaving Dan in charge of Skylar-the-Canadian. I'll be heading that way tonight to have more great wall of chocolate and keep Dan and the Canadian company. Apparently, I've met him before, but I don't remember. Hmm.
I have about 8 things I need to do. And I bet I won't do a one of them today. I <3 summer =)
