Busy busy busy bee

Wow... I've actually been so busy with work that I haven't written anything for so long already!! OK so maybe 11 days is not sooo long but it's relatively long in blog-time right? Some people blog like 2-3 times a day! Anyway... What have I been up to since then?

I had the first weekend of my copywriting course. It was... interesting. Lots of writing exercises and analyses of each other's work so time flies pretty quickly unnoticed. I must say it's surprising just how bad the Head of Corp Comm's English is! There's a girl from Corporate Marketing who is quite good at descriptive writing, but overall we all have loads of room for improvement when it comes to writing with the purpose of "selling" something, be it a job position, a new product, and/or Company initiatives. I really pity the Corp Comm team though... they mostly work with the HR dept, and they're told to churn out email after email about Company initiatives and activities, without really being included to the big picture. So mostly they're kinda blindly sending out emails -- where employees like me terus delete without bothering to read the email first. Next workshop is scheduled for next week, on the 6th and 7th June. Luckily things are not so hectic then, so hopefully I won't be too tired for it.

After the workshop we had a graduation ceremony last Wednesday for agents who completed this in-house Life Planning course. Complete with robes, and mortar boards and scrolls! Lots of last minute changes in the programme, courtesy of one annoying manager (who I am unfortunate enough to be working for...), she changed everything at least 3 times, from the seating arrangement, the walk-in sequence of the graduates, and even the event flow, AS THE EVENT WAS GOING ON!!!! So lots of walking to and fro for me... which equals stress and fatigue!! Not good Ms Chua!! So predictably, that very same day I could feel my eczema flaring up again. And in fact, I woke up several times at night to reapply my cream. So on Thursday I woke up even more tired and cranky and itchy and so not in the mood to go to work! I had to go see my dermatologist because I was running out of my cream, and then I went to see darling Dr Kamni with a case of made-up diarrhea (Zi.. don't tell anyone!!) and because she is so nice and seriously concerned for the well-being of her patients, especially her pregnant ones, she gave me two days off so that I can rest properly and take care of my health for the sake of my baby. Blisssss.............

Had lunch at La Bodega with Zizi and Sha Sha on Friday... and brought Eva along with the sole purpose of grilling her about her new boyfriend. We actually already know who he is but we just want her to fess-up! Too bad for us, she's a lot better at keeping her mouth shut than Sha Sha is (sorry Zi.. but you're kinda easy to crack while I'm a hopeless blabber mouth) and she refused to reveal the identity of her "secret" luvvah! WTF la kan? AND I belanja her lunch EVERY TIME we go out! ALWAYS ok... I never make her pay for lunch... Unlike some kakaks... right Sha? Hehehe....

And then on Saturday Zaki and I took Sara to Sepang Gold Coast... OMG it's such a looong drive I felt like lagi baik just drive to PD because at least you don't have to go through countless small towns that are probably not indicated on any maps, AND you won't be driving along narrow, winding roads through ladang kelapa sawits!!! But the beach WAS nice... the sand was soft and clean (not like in PD where the public beaches are really yuck) and there weren't many people there. But it was so HOT HOT HOT!!! Maybe we should have gone later in the evening like around 6 but then Sara would miss her dinner time and then nanti she will masuk angin and sakit perut. So hot pun takpe la. Sara was so funny... she was happily walking along the beach and confidently running towards the water. So we took off her shoes but when she reached the wet sand part she starting wailing and clinging on to Zaki. Even when he carried her she'd curl up her legs when he tried to lower her into the water! She was like "NONONO!!!" Driving back home hujan lebat gila. Quite scary but Sara was too busy watching Aladdin to get scared.

(Guess who got stuck holding the camera?)

Sunday was filled with me-time! Went to the spa for my waxing appointment which as usual was a big OUCH!!! Then made another appointment for a pregnancy massage. I had to wait a while though so I had lunch at Madam Kwan's first. I ordered the Mushroom Chicken Rice and ice lemon tea which is always so yummy!!! And then I went to Cats Whiskers where I bought a dress, and two tops... AND I found a pair of aviators that doesn't rest on my cheeks and fits my face perfectly!!! Yayyyy!!! And then in the evening we went swimming at Aunty Li's apartment. Sigh......... Needless to say I slept well. Until Sara woke up crying in the middle of the night. Oh yes, I was sleeping with Sara because Mama and Papa went to Kuching. Apparently it was fabulous and they're really going all out to promote it as the next Badrillah holiday vacation! My dad is trying to encourage the golfers to leave their clubs at home so that they can spend more time together. All the best Pa... Uncle Zul not that difficult to persuade because although he likes to golf it doesn't consume his life the way it does for Aunty Siti and Joey! But I do hope he's successful because I really do want a Badrillah vacation minus golf... like in the good ol days.

So that brings us to Monday... not much going on. Just had another monthly checkup. Everything looks fine. All the measurements correspond to a 17-week pregnancy. Just that I think the baby has inherited Zaki's (and mine) big head gene. Hahaha... The head measurement was for an 18-week pregnancy!!! OMG... how to push la liddat? More importantly though, Dr Sussana saw something and she was pretty confident that we're having a boy!!!!! Like YAY right?!!! BUT... to be on the safe side we'll confirm it at next month's checkup. So no shopping for boy stuff yet! But ohmygosh... a BOY!!! I'm like BEYOND happy if it's a boy. Of course la I'll be equally happy if it's a girl!!! I'm so excited.... I SOOOO CANNOT WAIT FOR NEXT MONTH'S APPOINTMENT.

p.s. Am already thinking about a few boy names... just in case I don't like the one Zaki decides on. Hehehehe.....
